Candle Service

通常のキャンドルサービスで使わられる長いスティックの代わりにシルバーのキャンドルを使いました。カナダでは新郎・新婦が１本１本ウェディング用のキャンドルを持ち、長い１本のキャンドルに火を灯すことをキャンドルサービスといいます。

Candle service in Japan is a little different from Canada. At the beginning of the dinner, Chris and I walk around to everyone's table lighting the candle on each table. Here you can see that we are lighting the candle on my father's table (he's in the bottom right hand corner). Usually in Japan people use a special long stick candle, but we decided to use regular silver one since it looks more natural.


Kids' Table

くまのキャンドルは子供へのお土産のはずでしたが・・
無残にもどんどん溶けてしまい、気づくと頭がありませんでした。結局誰も持ち帰らずかわいそうなベアーキャンドルはディナーの後に捨てられました。
Bear Candles were supposed to be a present for kids. But the heads quicly melted as you can see in the left picture.

Speeches

美子ちゃんが、結婚式には来れなかった真理ちゃんとのメッセージを日本語・英語で。ちょっと緊張気味？

Her's my friend giving a speech both in English & Japnese. She was my co-worker when I worked at Merrill Lynch.

Cutting the Cake
R-Heartでお願いしたもの。デコレーションはカナダの山を参考に作ってもらいました。新郎新婦のアイシングは制作期間１週間でした。２人の希望によりショートケーキのスポンジはチョコレートに。
We order the cake in Ginza which is one of the fancy shopping areas in Tokyo. The decoration was inspired from a pic. we took in Canada. It took a week to make icing on the top.

Belly Dancing

ケーキカットの後エキゾチックな音楽と共に、腰を振った真弓の登場。ゲストの皆さんにとって一番の見所だったはず。真弓どうもありがとう、素敵でした

My friend Mayumi is a belly dancer. She has been studying belly dancing for two years and she dances at Indian restaurant in Tokyo once a week (this is not her main job.) It was first time for many people to see belly dancing, including me! Everybody really enjoyed her dancing. Fortunately, nobody had a heart attach watching the wiggling hips.


Presents
友ちゃん・邦佳ちゃん・邦佳ママより花瓶の贈呈。全て一点ものの手作り品。オレンジのタオルは相撲タオル。直ちゃん（クリスの右隣）は昔相撲取りでした。ありがとうございます。
My girlfriends gave us some handcraved flower vases. The orange towl is Sumo Towl. The guy beside Chris used be a Sumo wresler.

Formal Pictures
おばーちゃんは普段５時には寝るためこの日はかなり夜更かし、９時近くまで頑張って起きていてくれました。右は札幌から隆三悠子叔父叔母様。綺麗なお花も頂きました。
My nana usually goes to bed at 5:00pm. So she stayed up past her bedtime to enjoy our reception. On the right is my uncle (my father's brother) & aunt from Sapporo.
They also brought beautiful flowers for us.

イトコちゃんははるばるサクラメントよりCody・Austiｎとともに来てくれました。また司会もお願いしました。隣がお母様の陽子さんです。

My cousin Itoko came from Sacramento with her 2 babies. She also was the MC for the reception.
