     Saipan

4/28-5/2 2002 Airline         JALWAYS Hotel            Kansai Airport Washington Hotel, Hotel Nikko Saipan This time we selected a tour departur from Kansai Airport because the departure time from Saipan was in the afternoon.  So we could spend the last day without hurry. But before leaving Japan  we had to stay at the hotel near the airport because departure was early in the morning. April 29th. We arrived at Saipan in the afternoon.  Then we got on the bus to go to the hotel.  When we arrived at the hotel room,we saw the blue sky and crystal sea from the window of the room.  How beautiful!  The scenery was like a painting.  We changed into our bathing suits and went swimming  at once.  My children liked the swimming pool so much.
April 30th. My daughter Kaori had a fever.  We were going to go to Manyagaha Island by a boat but we canceled.  Then we decided to stay at the hotel and take a rest for her.  I bought medicine for her.  The directions were written in English, and my husband was well informed about medical words in English.  That was good for us.  In the afternoon Kaori seemed fine, so we took a short walk along the beach in front of the hotel.  We collected some beautiful shells.
May 1st. Kaori had no fever, so we went shopping by the taxi.  The taxi charge was free for all customers staying along the street hotels for shopping.  We went DFS Galleria Shop and other duty free shops, and we had a lunch at  Hard Rock Cafe.  It was large in quantity for each person.  We soon became full.  The waitress spoke to my daughter with a smile.  It was in English.  In Saipan we can almost always use Japanese, so speaking in English was new to us.  Kaori said only "Hello"shyly, but she was satisfied with herself.  In the evening we went to the beach and swimming pool.  We saw the beautiful sunset from the beach.  It was the last day for ust to see the sunset.  We missed it.
May 2nd. It was the day we left for our home.  The departure time was 3pm in the afternoon, so we had a time to go swimming in the pool till noon.  My children enjoyed there so much.  We arrived at Kansai Airport in the evening.  After that it began so hard time for us.  The super express was so crowded because of the Japanese long holiday(Golden Week).  We should have taken a reserved seat.  We stood aisle in the coach from Osaka to Okayama.  When we passed Okayama we finally could get the seat.  It was the past 10pm when we got home.  This time after arrived at Japan was hard for us but during staying in Saipan was really good.  We could relax and enjoyed.  And it was good Kaori got over soon.  I hope to visit Manyagaha Island some day!
