Question:
How do I access from Narita Airport to the Workshop venue?
Answer:
JR (Japan Railway) goes to Ito Station, the nearest Station of the IBM Amagi Homestead, via one transfer at Tokyo Station. At Narita Airport, take "Narita Express" then change trains at Tokyo Station to "Odoriko". Please expect 60 minutes on "Narita Express" and 120 minutes on "Odoriko". In planning your travel, we suggest catching "Odoriko Super View #1" that leaves Tokyo Station at 1:00 p.m. because the next express does not leave Tokyo until 3:30 p.m.
From Ito Station, IBM Amagi Homestead is about 30-minute car ride. Unfortunately, there is no public transportation service available. FAIW charters a bus, by courtesy of IBM Japan, for those who come to Ito Station by "Odoriko Super View #1" that leaves Tokyo Station at 1:00 pm. In case you missed the chartered bus, a taxi is available at Ito Station. Please be sure to ask the driver to issue a receipt to submit it to a FAIW coordinator for reimbursement.
For detailed information, please jump to "access" page from the FAIW top page.
Question:
Is there a web site of IBM's Amagi Homestead that I can view?
Answer:
No. IBM Amagi Homestead is IBM's private facility and exclusively used for their seminars and functions. Because it is not open to public use, there is no homepage available. For your reference, however, FAIW created a web page describing Amagi Homestead's general information with visual images.
FAIW is honored of the priviledge to use their special facility at special location for this special Workshop.
Question:
I need to submit my school a form describing what kind of conference I will attend. Can you arrange such a form for me?
Answer:
Yes. Please feel free to print out "Prospectus" and/or "Outline". Should you need Japanese version of these forms, the FAIW coordinator will furnish them upon request.
