Perhaps being a late starter has made me more avid a reader than most, balancing popular science, biography, Christian reflection and Theology with a spattering of off-beat dry humour.

Sport is so often a passion beyond the understanding of anyone bar the participant or fan. To say that has not been true for much of my life would itself be untrue.
