1. Give a brief outline of the novel/story.

Paul Pannyfeather is a diligent and poor student of Oxford. But unfortunately one serious mistake forces him to leave Oxford. At that time he has very little money, so that he must begin to work as a schoolmaster in Private School. There he has much experience and meets some strange persons. One day, when he is a schoolmaster he suddenly falls into love with a rich woman, then he can gets engaged to her and begins a new rich life. However just before their wedding ceremony he is arrested is held because of the white slave trade that he doesn't notice but he really did. And what is worse, when he is in prison the woman cancels their engagement. It looks as if he fell into the hell. However due to his friends' help he gets the freedom and finally he can return to Oxford as a student.

　

2. What was the most impressive event, scene, or character in the book? Why?

What was most impressive event is that Paul could return to Oxford. I'll explain the reason why I chose it. I expected that he finally become homeless because he had been very rich but got poorer and pooper. But my expectation proved inaccurate after I finished reading this novel. He finally restarted the school life in Oxford. He succeeded. That's why I was impressed with this event.

　

3. How is the book similar or different from the other book(s) you have read before?

I have not read this kind of books. It's because this novel is not only a fiction but also like a biography. Indeed I have read many novels, but all of them were not like biographies. So, this novel is different from the books I have read in these kinds.
