Kamov in the city

Note: Photos may take long time to show if you do not have high speed connection.

During October 2004, the Rheinturm (Rhein tower) had its top portion, an antenna unit for broardcast, replaced into digital type.
This work, at an height of over 200m, was performed using a chopper.

The photo was taken from my apartment window when I was living in Duesseldorf.

And the next part

Now installing base of the new antenna.
Ka-32 landing east side of Rhein river
Ka-32 landing on the bank of river. Color scheme of the helicoptor looks like an inverted Patrouille Swiss.

Ka-32 from rear
Ka-32 on the ground. Complicated rotor link mechanism, landing gear structure and rudder on the tail is very interesting.
