My self-esteem has softened considerably from sheer bitterness,
partly because I'm having more confidence in Mimi now and partly
because I've successfully published a book. I can hardly believe that
I could liken myself to a maple leave that attracts sunrays all over !
Of course, this is not my normal self. I may go back to my usual
state of mind any time. However, Mimi and publishing a book have
certainly changed my life. (January 31, 2005)
