About us

My name is Yoshimi and I am Japanese living in Toronto, Canada with my husband, Darren and a dog, Kirby.

Darren and I have met each other in October 1997 when Darren was an Assistant English Teacher in Saitama, Japan.  After two years of exciting life in Japan, and two more years of struggling to build a life in Canada, we finally tied the knot in Japan (July 2001) and in Canada (August 2001).

Because we have different cultural backgrounds, we still have lots of difficulties and surprises.

In spite of this, we share lots of good things and even more laughs!

Through this website, I would like to let others know about the trials and tribulations of my new life in Canada. I hope that you can learn from my mistakes, and smile along with me during my happy times. By sharing my life and experiences through this ongoing chronicle, I hope that you can learn more about Canadian Me!

ここは英語教師アシスタントとして来日していたカナダ人のDarrenと1997年に知り合い、トロントに移住し色々な苦労を乗り越えて4年後に国際結婚したよしみのサイトです。

現在はDarren、そして愛犬カービィと生活しています。

文化や育った環境の違いからDarrenとの結婚生活は様々な事が起こりますが、それでも殆ど笑いの耐えない私達。

このサイトをとおして私の驚きや苦労、笑いに満ちたカナダ生活をご紹介できたら幸いです。
