北京にて at BEIJING
宇宙から見える人類最大の建造物として有名な「万里の長城」を訪ねてみた。
山の尾根づたいに延々と6000kmも良く築いたものだと感心します。逆な見方をすれば、余程蒙古軍を脅威に思っていたのだと思われます。
城壁の大半は、階段状と成っていましたが、その一段一段のステップが意外と大きく（約２０〜３０ｃｍはある）上り下りが大変でした。
これが当時鎧を身につけ、武器を手にして上り下りしたのかと思うとひとえに感心させられます。
I visited a famous Big Wall as a building of the maximum human works seen
from space.
I admired its big and long construction "the verry verry long length
as much as 6000km and continuing on the ridge of mountain".
Opposite view, a strong threat for Mongolian army made big works in the
human histry. Almost part of the rampart are made by stairs (all steps
are about 20〜30cm hight, un expectly large), so, it was very hard for
each ascend and descend step.
It is made to feel admiration single-mindedly when we think about that
the armor are ascending and descending with arms a hand at that time.
清王朝最後の溥儀が、駆け下りてくるシーンが印象的であったラストエンペラーでも有名な「紫禁城」のまえでポーズ。
Take a pose in front of "SHIKIN CASTEL" which is even famous
in the movie of "Last Emperor", Fugi was inaugurated as last
emperor of Shin dynasty. And it was very impressed Fugi was running down
in the scene.
