10 - 15 minutes

Viewpoint questions
  • Identifying whether statements agree with the views or claims of the writer or of other people mentioned in the reading. Could be multiple-choice.

15 - 20 minutes

Summarising questions
  • Completing a short summary of information contained in the reading.
  • Could be to match two phrased or two parts of a sentence to summarise some of the information in the passage.
  • Choosing a title for the whole passage, choosing one of four answer choices.

10 minutes

Golden Rules

  • Look at questions first, then start scan-reading
  • Guess what is asked, find propwer words and underline relevant information
  • Stick with instructions. No alternatives or options are considered
  • Check spelling, tense and grammar at the end. Make sure you have to answer in CAPITAL or small letters.

原則

  • 問題を読んでから、そのセクションやパッセージ（段落）をスキャンして読むこと
  • 問題は何かを理解したうえで、本文からキーワードを拾ってアンダーラインを入れておく
  • 問題の説明には必ず従うこと。リーディングの場合、例外は許されない。
  • スペルチェック、文法（単数複数）、時制のチェックを最後にする。大文字か小文字か、数字か文字か記号か、チェックする。
