What's New

This is an unknown model of the Astley Parlor lamp and is quoted from Terry Marsh's collection with his permission. The comment below is from Terry.
It was made by the Allen Sparks Gas Light Co. of Ann Arbor, Michigan. This particular lamp lacks the badge identifying it as made by the Allen Sparks Gas Light Company. R.A. Astley, for whom the lamp model is named, was the Secretary and General Manager of the company. M.B. Allen was the Vice President and Sales Manager for the company while M.F. Sparks was the President and General Superintendent. I made a replacement door for the tip cleaner entry and replaced the screws for the cap above the handle and another for the tip cleaner door. I also removed the asbestos in the preheater cup. The lamp runs well on white gas.
Thanks Terry.
