■thisとthese
●this（これ）は比較的近いものをさすのに用いる。複数形はthese.
This is an apple. [単数] （これはりんごです）
↓
These are apples. [複数] （これらはりんごです）
【例文】
What is this? It is a tape. （これは何ですか テープです）
Are these tapes, too? Yes, they are.
（これらもテープですか はい、そうです）
■thatとthose
●that（あれ、それ）は比較的遠いものをさす。複数形はthose.
That is a car. [単数] （あれは車です）
↓
Those are cars. [複数] （あれらは車です）
●that(those)は、前に出た名詞のくり返しをさけるために用いられることもある。
That climate is like that (=the climate) of Spain.
（その気候はスペインのそれ[気候]と似ている）
【例文】
What is that over there? It is a station.
（向こうのあれは何ですか 駅です）
Are those tulips, too? No, they aren't.
