 one/other/another
■代名詞のone
●oneは「一つ」の意味のほか、前に出た名詞と同種のものをさす代名詞として用いられる。
このoneは形容詞をつけたり、複数形にできる。
I have a pen. --->①You can use it. （君はそれを使ってよい）
--->②You need one, too. （君もペンが必要だ）
①ではit=the pen（私のペン）、②ではone=a pen（別のペン）
●oneは「ある～」の意味で、形容詞的に用いられることもある
One night he saw the star. （ある夜彼はその星を見た）
【例文】
He has a racket. It is a heavy one.
（彼はラケットを持っている。それは思いものです）
There are two boxes. They are glass ones.
（二つの箱がある。それらはガラス製のものです）
■other,another
●otherは「ほかのもの」「（二つに分けた）もう一方」
anotherは「（同類の）別のもの」「（同類の）もう一つのもの」 の意味である。
●other,anotherには形容詞としての用法もある。
Any other questions? （ほかに質問はないですか）
【例文】
All the others climbed up the tree, too.
（ほかの人も皆木に登った）
You gave him an album, and I gave him another.
（君が彼にアルバムをあげて、僕がもう一冊あげた）
