制作
元々がアパレル出身の為、「鉄は熱いうちに…」という常識がなく、独学で工法を開発。ほとんど金属を熱すること無く、「鉄を手び練り」という非常識な方法で制作する日本で唯一の作家。世の中やっている人がいるなら、必ず方法はあると思っている。日々、新工法の開発に勤しむ。そのため、「教わっていないから出来ない」という言葉は通用しない…と思っている。

「生きている自分＝恵まれている自分・幸せな自分・何でも出来る自分」
私達は何にでも挑戦する事が出来る…そして何処へでも行く事が出来る。才能とは誰にでも在る、こんなに人に囲まれていて幸せなんだという事に気づいて欲しい。それを伝えられればと思って活動してきました。
私達の生活はお互いに支え合う事によって成り立っています。それは人だけでなく総てのモノに言えることです。作品はそれを表現するため、人に見向きもされない日常品から廃棄品までを一部混ぜて制作する事によって、その形状の面白さや使われ方から、自分の身の回りに有るモノをもう一度見直してもらうことを目的として造っています。これらを観て、触れることによって楽しみながらモノの大切さを感じていただけたら幸いです。
Many people think that an artist is someone who has a special talent and has received a specific qualification for their field of art. I qualified as a fashion designer but after graduating I became an artist working in metal by learning independently. I have learned from experience that one doesn’t become an artist merely through education or association, but that it is one’s little originalities combined with the influence of those around you which leads to artistic flourishing. Showing this is the reason that I became an artist.
We are all dependent on each others’ help in this world, we all contribute to each others’ lives. I express this in my work by re-using discarded parts of things that have served their purpose in some other form, using everyday things that people don’t usually pay any attention to. I would like you to see things around you with fresh eyes. Feel free to touch these works as part of experiencing them. I will have achieved my purpose if my work inspires in you a greater awareness and appreciation of the things around you.
