文体について


　文体。
　それは不思議なものだ。
　同じ言葉を使っていても、まるで違うように聞こえる。
　同じ音階を使っていても、違う調べに聞こえるように。


　たとえ英語がわからなくても、下の文章が、それぞれ、同じ英語という言葉を使っていても、なにか違う雰囲気をかもしだしていることはわかるのではないだろうか。
　もしわかるとするなら、それが「文体の違い」である。
　英語がわかるのに、文体の違いがわからないなら、きっと引用が短すぎたのだろうと思う。
