Koji's Home Page

Hello, I am JIGON KOJI.
This is my first Web Page. For that reason,it may difficult to understand what I'm saying, but don't worry about it because it is still under development.

I am a Japanese guy and live in Cincinnati, OH USA. I love to play the Guitar. I like Blues, Jazz and Funk music. Call me "FUNKY GUITARIST"!!

I'm having a very good time in United States. There is a lot of fun to be had. However I have a little problem with English, so I'm looking for some friends who can give me advice. Also if you know somebody familiar with jazz guitar and good Home Pages for it please let me know.
The Funky Guitarist would appreciate for your cooperation.

My acrostic guitar sound

When I was in college in Kagoshima Japan, I made my original songs and participated many contests. Most of the songs were based on the popular music.

I am from really country side that mean almost noting to have a chance to know about the contemporary music that's why my original songs were so pure.

In 1990, I moved to Osaka Japan, the Pure Country Musician glowed up a lot because many good musicians were there and I was influenced from Jazz and Blues music.

In 1995, My company asked me to be in United State of America. Of cause I accepted and now I am in Cincinnati, OH USA.

Right after land in the U.S., I was in Chicago for two month I went to many great Blues spot at that time I had seen the real blues and differences.

At the same year, I move to New Jersey and I had a great time there. Went for jam session to New York city and could play with many musicians.

Now I am in Cincinnati, so I am looking forward the music stuff in this area!!!

This is my treasure.

My favorite guitarist Mr. Cornell Dupree gave me a autograph. I talked him April 5th at the bar The Blue Zoo in Fort Lee NJ. He is a really nice and good person. I am very grad to see him (But my name is not KOKI is KOJI by the way).

His guitar play is so funky and bluesey. I wish I would like to be like him. Mum.
