| 広大なノーザンテリトリーの北端。鳥たちとは虫類の天国。そしてアナング（アボリジニ）のユニークな壁画が最も多く残されているところ。冬とはいえ３０℃以上あり、夜も気温は下がらずだった。
川や湿原にはありとあらゆる鳥たち、そしてクロッコダイルをはじめとしてトカゲ、ヘビの類が、食料豊富なのだろう、イキイキ住みついている。ふだんは見ることのできないNocturnal（夜行性の） animals（オーストラリア独特のネズミやウサギの類が多い）も。 広大なKAKADUと、そしてさらにその４、５倍もあるARNHEM LANDには、水平の地層を持つ岩が数多く隆起している。水平の板状の岩は屋根となり古代アナングたちの住処となった。そして伝説や生活を描いた、独自のデフォルメによる美しい壁画が多く残されている。 ここもやはり夢の大地だった。 |

| North of Northern Territory. It's a large area. And birds and reptiles's heaven. And there are many aboliginal(anong's) paintings on the rocks. Temperature is about 30℃ in spite of winter and hot night also.
A lot of kinds of birds and crocodiles,lizards,snakes are living vividly in the river and marsh. Maybe they can get much groceries. And nocturnal animals which we usually can not look are living. A lot of level stratums are rising in KAKADU and ARNHEM LAND. Level slab rocks had been roof for ancient anong's dens. They had painted pictures of life and legends on there. Those pictures painted by original deformation are beautiful. This area was a dreamy earth for me also. |
