PayPalに登録
　PayPalはeBayで人気の代金支払方法です。早速、私も登録することにしました。もちろん、他にも日本から送金可能な手段としては、International Money Order、Western Union Money Transferなどがあります。
　PayPalのユーザー登録では、最初にアカウントの種類を選択します。登録するアカウントは、個人使用の場合であれば、Parsonal Accountで十分です。私もParsonal Accountをクリックして、必要事項を指示に従い、入力しました。
　名前、住所、メールアドレス、パスワードなどをひととおり打ち、最後にPayPalの利用規約やPayPalの個人情報の扱いに関する確認項目があるのでYESにチェックをいれ、Sign Upをクリック。このあと、クレジットカードの情報を登録します。名前、カードの種類、クレジット番号、有効期限を入力し終えたら、「クレジットカードを登録」をクリックする。クレジットカードの登録及び、利用拡張プログラムの説明画面、は日本語で丁寧に書かれているので安心です。
「You have successfully added a credit card.」というメッセージが表示され、クレジットカードの登録は完了します。

この後、すぐに、以下のようなメールが届きます。
　Paypalからのメールの中に、確認のため、次のURLにアクセスするようにと、書かれているので、早速アクセス。先ほど決めたパスワードを入力しConfirmをクリック。すると以下のようなPayPalのアカウントが作成され送金が可能となります。
アカウントが有効になるとPayPalからメールが、届きます。
蛇足になりますが、PayPalからの登録確認メールが２通ともウイルスバスターの迷惑メールにひっかかりました。
　私は、PayPalに登録後、Zenithを送料込みで$520で購入したのでMy Accountは以下のように表示される。

Motohiko: Thanks for the e-mail. I went by the Post Office this morning, and shipping by air to you in Japan is $90, so the total due = $ 520. ($430+90). The radio is double boxed and packed well. Insurance is additional, but I will pay the insurance myself. PAYPAL is fine. Thanks for buying this great old ZENITH. I know you will be pleased with it!

PayPalの利用拡張プログラムに加入すれば、送金限度額が無制限になります。加入しようか、悩むところです。
　PayPalでは上記の方法を用いて利用拡張プログラムに加入しないと、１ヶ月に利用できる金額の上限が9,0000万円に制限されています。私は今回のZenithの購入資金に6万円ほどをあてたので、残りの送金可能金額は、2,7738円となっています。
カードが使えなくなりました！
　カード会社からPayPal利用（Zenithの購入代金）の請求書が届きました。早速PayPalの利用拡張プログラムに加入しようと思い、4桁の番号を打ちました。すると、番号が違っていますのコメント。あれ、間違ったのかと思い、再度打ち直し。またもや、番号が違いますのコメント。さらに、そこには、もう一度のみの表示。こんどは、良く確認し、再度打ち直し。
結果、上記のコメントが表示され、カードが使用できなくなりました。これは「えらいこっちゃ。」

　後で、わかったのですが、利用拡張プログラムに加入するためには、PayPalに200円を最初に振り込み、カード会社から送られてきた請求書に書かれている4桁の番号を打たなければだめらしい。

　PayPal利用拡張プログラムに加入しました。難しいことはありませんでした。利用拡張プログラムに加入をクリック。後はカード会社から送られてきた利用明細書に書かれた4桁の番号をうち無事終了。超簡単でした。
　またまた届きましたPhishing 詐欺メール? 　しかし、今回は様子がちょっと違うようです。メールをよく見てみるとフルネームで名前が記載されている。一応辞書を片手にメールの内容を確認、どうやらアメリカとヨーロッパ以外の国はシンガポールにサービスの拠点（地方本部）が移されるようなことが書いてある？かな。
こうゆうメール（英語のメールはすべてですが）が届くたびに、英語のできない、私はかなりの心労です。

A New Customer Relationship with PayPal

With the opening of our new regional headquarters, your customer relationship will automatically be transferred to PayPal Private Limited. We anticipate that this will occur on August 1, 2006. At that time, we will introduce minor changes to the User Agreement and its incorporated policies, and to the Privacy Policy. The new User Agreement will be similar to the current Agreement, and will contain no adverse amendments from a customer's perspective. It will also no longer contain U.S.-specific references, and it will be modified to comply with Singaporean payment services requirements.

If you do not wish to hold a PayPal Private Limited account and would prefer to retain your relationship with PayPal, Inc., you may only do so if you are a resident of the United States, and if the primary address on your PayPal account as of August 1, 2006 is a legitimate postal address within the United States.

If your primary address is not in the United States, you may close your account at any time, either before or after the transition to PayPal Private Limited, by logging in to your PayPal account and clicking Profile. We value your business and hope you'll transfer with us to PayPal Private Limited, where you'll be able to use PayPal in the same way you do today.

Once the transition from PayPal, Inc. to PayPal Private Limited occurs, we will post updated versions of our User Agreement and its incorporated policies, as well as our Privacy Policy, to our website.
