Did you know Mt. Fuji?
Mt. Fuji is very famous and most highest mountain in Japan. The altitude is 3776 meters(12388 feet).
A dormant volcano. The last volcano erupted in 1707. Mt.Fuji may erupt in the near future
like Mt.Rainier in Seattle.
Mt. Fuji is placed in middle of Japan, therefor people in Tokyo can see that when it's clear.
We say "fujisan" in Japanese, which contains three Chinese characters.
The name has meaning.
"fu" means a wealth and riches.
"ji" means the Samurai who is an ancient soldier and politician in the upper classes.
you know, he had unique hair style and the Katana which is a sword or blade.
"san" means a mountain.
So, fujisan is a rich samurai mountain.
Montblanc in France, means Mount white. That is white in any season.
Matterhorn in Switzerland, means a horn in meadow. That is like a horn of cow.
I recommend you to see Mt. Fuji, when you come to Japan. You can see that easily
when you go up to high building or take a flight. Every japanese must know the direction to see that.
And you may see Mt.Fuji painting in Furoya which is a public bath.
Mt.Fuji is very popular.
