株式会社古美術下條は、1968年の東京・六本木での開業以来、東洋鑑賞陶磁器を専門に扱っております。優れた質の中国、日本、韓国の陶磁器を中心に厳選して提供しております。

創業者である下條啓一は、半世紀以上にも亘って古美術業界に身をおいており、一貫して美術品を｢保護、育成、継承｣することを理念として掲げております。㈱朝日美術での15年余りの修業の後、33歳で独立開業しました。㈱朝日美術の時代には、いち早く海外との取引を始め、国内外のコレクター、美術館、有名業者との知己を得ました。独立開業後は香港での営業も行い、世界に通用する一級品を数多く扱ってきました。人種や国籍、時代を超越する、ある意味において普遍的な美術品を後世に如何に伝えてゆくかということを使命としております。これまでに、個人コレクターはもとより、数多くの有名美術館、博物館等に作品を収蔵してきました。

We have been Oriental Art dealers since 1968 and since then our gallery has been located at our present address in Roppongi, where is one of the most international area in Tokyo. Our main specialisation is in Chinese ceramics and works of art, ranging from Neolithic through the Han, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, of which we aim to offer only objects of the highest quality, as well as museum quality Japanese and Korean works of art.

The director, Keiichi Shimojo has for more than half a century been involved in the trade in Asian Art, particularly Chinese. His background at Asahi Bijutsu, first as assistant then as Director and gave him a primary interest in ceramics. The Asahi background also gave him the opportunity to meet many of the great private collectors, dealers, and museum curators and since forming his own business in 1968, he has been fortunate to have assisted in the formation of some of the most important art collections in the world.

Our gallery is open to the public Monday through Saturday, from 10am to 5pm, or by appointment.
