NOTES
NOTE 1.
Temporary promotion to one Chair grade or Line grade higher or addition of designated line is permissible at discretion of Chief/Manager.
For category 1 and 2, Chair duties will be assigned by ITF/ATP Supervisors and/or Chief.

NOTE 2.
Chairs/days to be achieved per calendar year.
All overseas chairs are counted. Overseas days are counted in full for members carrying out Linejudge duties only, but only at 50% for any other reason.

Chair Umpires and Linejudge regraded to a lower grade through not achieving the annual chair or days requirement for retention in grade may be restored to their previously held higher grade within 12 months provided that during this period the minimum requorements for retention in the higher grade has been achieved.
This principle also applies for restoration of a grade following regrading due to unsatisfactory assessments, except that Assessors recommendations must also be obtained within the 12 months.

If either of these two occur then the Days/Chairs in grade will be restored to include previous levels.
Members not achieving restoration of grade within 12 months will be required to obtain the full qualification for promotion.

NOTE 3.
In addition to their grade Linejudge will be allocated one or more of the following selected lines:
S-Service , B-Base , L-Long
Regrading may involve a change of grade and/or designated line.

NOTE 4.
C2 Chair Umpires who fail to meet the 5 chair requirement will normally receive a warning letter. Failure to meet the 5 chair requirement in 2 successive years will normally result in termination of full membership.

NOTE 5.
L5 Linejudges who fail to meet the 5 days requirement will normally receive a warning letter. Failure to meet the 5 day requirement in 2 succesive years will normally result in termination of full membership.

NOTE 6.
Members wishing to be suspended in their present Chair, Line or Chief/Manager Grade must apply in writing, to the Chair of Grading, giving reasons. All suspensions require Committee of Management approval and will usually be granted for a maximum of one year.
On becoming active, members will be expected to complete a pro-rata number of Chairs and/or days for retention of grade(s). The number required will be notified in writing by the Chair of Grading. The qualification for promotion may be reduced or waived at the discretion of the Grading Committee.

NOTE 7.
When necessary, regrading will be to one grade higher or one grade lower for all Chair, Line and/or Chief/Manager Grades.
