Compared to other cities in Australia, Sydney a city that flourishes in Multiculture. Many tourists visit from overseas, and also the local residents' have a wide variety of Nationalities. At our Branch in Ultimo, which is located 3 mins walk from the city, we teach mostly students and people on Working Holidays. SSR Karate concentrates on mind training, Karate, Self Defense & fitness.

We mainly concentrate on teaching Self Defense to women. We teach them how to attack the weak points, and how to get out of head locks, etc. As Shown here with Mondo, Amanda, Yuki & Gaye.

While learning Self Defense, you not only have to learn how to throw, but you also have to learn how to land properly, if you have been thrown.

A hint for a perfect throw is : Have good timing, and use the attackers weight & force to your advantage.

This is a very useful technique for women. This will help you to protect yourself against Rapists. These photos demonstrate a typical Rape scenario: Where the attacker is on top of you, and choking you around the neck.Please take a look at the photos below for a clear explanation, demonstrated by Mondo & Gaye

The first step is to use a Hammer-fist, Spear Hand, Or 2-finger stabbing, to attack anywhere on the face, ears & head.

With a quick move, grab the offenders wrist.

Use your leg to hook around the attackers arm, and put pressure on his elbow joint. As show in the photo.

At the same time, put both hands on the attackers hand while, the rest of your body weight will force the attackers elbow to the ground, As shown here.

Turn your body slightly, and try to kick the attacker off you.

Escape, run as fast as you can from the attacker, and call the police.

Our Fintess class (Easifitness) uses special SSR training to help women loose weight. We have covered our students' faces to protect their privacy.
