The Broken Roof 金曜日のクラスはSmall talk, ORT, spelling test, Gameを１時間のレッスンの中でやっています。 Small talkでは週末の出来事や、自分の好きなことを話します。 先生が質問をしながら話を膨らませてくれるので、最初に簡単に話をしても、ちょっとしたSmall talkになります。 ORT stage 7を使用しています。今週からはThe Broken Roofです。 お話がどんどん展開していく楽しいストーリーなので、３ページくらいずつ進めることにしました。その中で出てくる新しい単語、新しい動詞などを確認しながら進んで行きます。 字を書くことも増えてきたのですが、今までは先生が書いたものを写すばかりだったので、少しずつ自分でも書けるようにspelling testをまた再開しました。 Gameでは今日はaから始まる言葉をたくさん書きました。結構、覚えているものだと言うことがわかりました。多分、来週は子ども達はbから始まる言葉をたくさん調べてくると思います。

mangle 今日のレッスン Step by stepから、クラスルームイングリッシュの確認 このクラスでもよく使用したのはHow do you say _____ in English? 早速この表現を使いながらのSmall Talk この日に子ども達が質問した言葉は 眼科： eye doctor ＊ophthalmologyという単語がありますが、子ども達にはeye doctorと教えていました。 視力:eye sight ちなみに視力検査はeyesight test ORT: the Broken Roof p.4-6までの単語、文法を学習し、内容を理解しているかどうかチェックしました。 面白い言葉が出てきました。mangleという洗濯の時に使う一種の脱水道具。昔はこういうもので、脱水をしているのだと言うのがよくわかりました。 man・gle n. A machine for pressing fabrics by means of heated rollers. Chiefly British. A clothes wringer. Spelling Test 今回は色を表す言葉を10個書き取りさせました。

Small talk Shannonがアメリカに里帰りしていたので、カリフォルニアの話を少し聞きました。 彼女がお土産にSalt water tuffyを買ってきてくれました。 子ども達はGolden weekの話をしました。 ORT: The broken Roof　pages18-21 子ども達は先生のことをどうして先生(teacher)と呼ばずにMrs. Mayと呼ぶのか質問していました。でも、どうしてと言われても。。。 とにかく先生の名前はLast nameで呼ぶこと、既婚の先生にはMrs. 未婚の先生にはMs. 男の先生には既婚でも、既婚でもMr.というと話していました。 Spelling test: mother, father, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, baby, cousin, aunt, uncle

P.E Phisical Education On Sunday I went to a barbeque with my friend. The barbeque was organized by the church. I helped cook. Yesterday I played with my drined after school. We played baseball game. I had fun. Today I had P.E. We played basketball. I made a basket! My team was won. The score was 6 to 4. On Sunday I played soccer game. Mt team won. The score was 3 to 1. It was fun.

Small Talk ここのところアイスクリームの話題がよく出て、いっそのことアイスクリームを食べに行こうという話しになりました。 厚木基地の中にあるアイスクリームやさんがおいしいとShannonが話したからです。 そこで、今日のフリートーキングはアイスクリームの話題に。。。 アイスクリームショップでもらってきたカタログを見せて、どれが食べたいか選び、それを注文する練習をしました。 Shannon先生が店員になって、子ども達が注文する練習をしました。 I would like one scoop each of _____, ______ and _____ in a bowl, please. アイスクリームにはcornとcupとbowlのどれに入れるのか選ぶのよとShannon先生。 Would you like any topping? トッピングも好きなのを選ぶのよ。コーンフレークとか、チョコレートチップとか。。。 子ども達の目が輝いてきます。。。。 じゃぁ、僕はcorn flakes, please. ということで、来週は実践！英語でショッピングです。 ORT: The Broken Roof p.22-25 New words: workmen(workman), Edward, mend(ed), yet, Victoria, keep...in, rocking horse Spelling test: watch, camera, bag, shoes, cloth, lunch, breakfast, dinner, snack, tea

I would like to a scoop of chocolate in a cup. 今日はShannon先生の住んでいる厚木基地内のフードコートでレッスン。 最近は車で入ることができなくなってしまったので、外の駐車場を探したのですが、どこもなく子ども達だけをShannon先生に預けて、わたしは送迎だけをすることに。 （実はその方がいいなぁと思っていました。わたしがいるとわからないことを聞くために日本語が出てしまうからです。どうしても英語で話さなければならない環境に入れるほうが、効果的です。Shannonひとりにお任せは申し訳なかったけれど。。。） 帰りの車の中で子ども達から聞いた話では、アイスクリームやピザを注文したこと、ちゃんと先週練習した英語を使って無事に買えたこと。食べながらSmall talkをしたり、Hungmanというスペリングゲームで遊んだこと、アメリカ人のおじさんから日本語で「わたしの名前は＊＊＊です。」と自己紹介を日本語でされたこと。（あの人、日本語勉強していて、話したかったみたい。と面白そうに話していました。）そして、ぜひ、また行きたいという話しになりました。 じゃぁ、もう少し英語が上手になったらまた行こう！と子ども達にやる気を促し、子ども達は「もう、ちゃんと英語で言って買えるよ〜。」などと言っていました。

Physical education Small talk On Sunday and Monday I went to Hakone with my family. We srove there. My favorite part of the trip was the hot spring. Today I woke up at five thirty AM. I practiced soccer before school by myself. I am not thred now. the day after tomorrow I will go to shopping. I will go to Yokohama to look for a swim suit for school. I need a swim suit for physical education. Last weekend visited my grandparents in Yokohama. Tomorrow I will go to school for a math class. Smore Small Talk *From Tuesday until Thursday my school had half days. Myschool had parent-teacher conference. I feed the kittens tuna mixed with rice. * On Thursday and Friday I went camping with my school. I made curry over the campfire. I am very tired now. *Last weekend I had a game. Our team won. Our school trip this year is to Nikko. I had one hit during the game. ＊キャンプの話が出て、キャンプファイヤーをやった？バーベキューをしたの？ マシュマロでSmoresを作って食べた？とのShannon先生の問いに、Smoresって何？と子ども達。わたしも辞書で調べましたがわかりません。 それはお菓子のことで、バーベキューでRoastしたマシュマロをグラハムクラッカーに挟んで、チョコレートを載せて、さらにグラハムクラッカーではさんで食べるというもの。わぁ、とても甘そう... Nothing special Small talk *Nothing special happened this week. After class I will watch TV. Tomorrow I will visit my grandparents in Yokohama. *Last Thursday and Friday I went on school camping trip. I slept in a bangalow with seven other people. *I am hungry. I'm not sure what I will do after class. I would like to eat curry for dinner. No spelling test, today!! Small Talk I was in Hawaii for one week. My favorite part was the water park. One Tuesday I went to the world expo with my family. It took to get there by train. My favorite was Greece Exposition. This past week I had exams at school. I did very good on all my exam. I went shopping with my mother. I bought some tee shirts. ORT: The lost key p.12~ Kipper had to tell Biff and Chip that he had lost the magic key. by the rocket Mum wouldn't let me look for it. We must find it. if he had seen it. I threw it in that bin. Going out 今日は課外授業で、ステファニー先生とフードコートに行って、スナックなどを英語で注文するしました。 英語が通じて、食べたいものを買うことができたようです。
