我が故郷金沢にて／Kanazawa of my home town

私の生まれ故郷である金沢は歴史有る町の一つとして有名ですが、その中でも私が生まれ育った近くの風景が特徴を表していると言えます。
金沢と言う土地は、古くは一向宗徒による共和国の形成、前田藩主による加賀城下町の建立の歴史において、犀川と浅野川に挟まれた天然の要塞的要素と、平城の特徴的とも言える箱庭的な都市計画の跡が感じられます。
本年は、かなりの暖冬で昨年末に一時的に降雪が在りましたが、御正月には好天に恵まれ積雪が見られませんでした。
古くには、市内においても積雪１メーターを至る様な事も有りましたが、最近では殆ど大雪の記録がありません。

Kanazawa of my home town is a one of famous town in the Japanese history, especially the scenery nearby my born and grow up house show the typical feature of them.
Kanazawa is a old town equipped with natural fortress element by two river Saigawa and Asanogawa, and also, it was designed & constructed flat castle system by Ikkou-Shu religion group and Maeda feudal lord of Kaga-Han. We can feel a mark for a kind of miniature garden city planning.
It was given to nice weather at the New Year and the snowfall was not seen this year though the snow broke out temporarily at the end of last year because of a considerable mild winter.
There was a heavy snowfall record over 1 m even though in the down town of city, on a couple ten years ago. But, there is hardly few heavy snow recently.

長町武家屋敷/Nagamachi Samurai House

町の中には、数多くの用水が張り巡らされており、昔は材木や御城の建立のための石垣用石材などを運んだり諸々の交通手段として利用されており、現在でも使われていますが、水田用の灌漑用水としての大きな役目を擁している。
所によっては、その用水を家の中まで引き入れ、庭の治水としている処も在ると聞きます。

Kanazawa city equips many irrigation canal, which are put coming round and were used for various transportation use such as carrying wood and stone for castle construction. Still, that are used on big role having for irrigation water for rice field.

大野庄用水/Ohno sho-Yosui (Irrigation canal)　前庭/Front Yard

金沢には、他の城下町には類を見ない珍しい建造物があります。
加賀藩祖の前田利家を奉る神社であり、オランダ人技師ホルトマン氏の指導の基に、明治６年(1873)に建立された３層の楼門にステンドグラスが施されており、神灯の光が、遠く日本海を航行する船の目標に成ったといわれている尾山神社である。

There is a unique building in Kanazawa city, you cannot find out same style in a castle town.
That one was constructed by the supervising of Dr. Holtsman of Netherlands on 1873 named Oyama Shrine, which equipped three stages and stained glass window on top stage.
The light of stained glass is able to see far from ships traveling on Japan Sea.
