2005 7/13 FOOD TRIP!
I'm visiting NY to try many kinds of hummus! I'll be there for a while. I'll be back and will tell you how hummus is in NY, the hottest place in the world! I'll find the best hummus in NY! Look forward to it!

2005　4/10　I've found new recipes of hummus! Salsa Hummus and Italian style Hummus! How about Italian style Hummus for your lunch and Salsa Hummus for your supper? Consumption of chick pea will rise up, and Japan will have to import more than double?!

2005 4/5 This is An-pan, Bread with red bean! I got big "Hanamame"bean in Tsukiji market, the biggest fish market in Japan! The Hanamame beans are good with sugar. Better than as hummus. I boiled the beans with sugar, sweet sake, and some milk until they get smooth. This original An-pan is very simple. You can make it sweeter with more sugar. I like An-pan with plain bread, not like sweet and soft one as usual. I like hard bread like batard.

2005 3/28　I went to Tsukiji market, the biggest fish market in Japan. I found tons of chickpeas very reasonably! Much cheaper than other places such as grocery stores! 600 yen for 1 kg of chick peas!! The store is called "Yamamoto". You can find many kinds of beans. I could find new beans, such as huge one, and colorful one. The staff was very nice. I wanna see them soon! ...more details in Small tips to be "Naturally Happy" in daily life.

2005 3/23　Hot Hummus with Red Pepper! I've found a new recipe in Mexican Style! I had hummus with corn chips called "Dontacos"! It was good! I tried putting red pepper to chickpeas without any hesitation!(he he he) It came out to be hot hummus! It'll be good for drinking! You can enjoy hummus at night as well! 2005 3/22 I found dried chick peas are better than canned ones, I bought dried chick peas at a grocery store, "Tokyu Store"in Shinjuku. I can see cute camels on the package!

2005 3/18 I found blue beans boiled with salt! I tried making hummus with the beans, I found chick peas are more suitable for hummus, but I like both! Blue beans are better than kidney beans or soy beans for hummus!

I was surprize at this hummus! I found that olive oil is so important for the taste! Extra Virsin oil is good for batard. Tres bien!! Of course batard is very important! This batard is withoug egg nor milk. I like this kind of bread. I used to eat bread without animal protain when I had worked for a vegan restaurant,Cafe Eight!

2005 1/18 I found hummus bagle at a chain deli, "Bagle and Bagle" in Tokyo!

Do you know bagles with hummus,"Vegetarian" at Bagle and Bagle deli? The green dip between bagle sandwich is probably hummus. It tastes like bazil or olive oil, Italian style hummus! I don't think it's great, but you can enjoy anywhere, so just try it and compare it with yours!
