ウォータートンレイクス国立公園は、カルガリーから約270KMほど南下したところにあります。USAと接しており、USA側はグレーシャー国立公園となります。フェリーで湖を渡り、USA側へも行けます。その際、フェリーの上からUSAとカナダの境界線を、山にその線上にだけ森林がない状態で見ることができます。ちなみにフェリーで渡ったUSA側は、ハイキングなどができるだけからか、パスポートは必要ありませんでした。
Waterton Lakes National Park is located the about 270KM south of Calgary.
Waterton N.P. borders USA, and on which side
there is Glacier N.P.. It is possible to
take the ferry for USA, and at that time,
we can see the boundary, on the line of which
there are no trees.
