Saturday, December 31, 2011 Fair
Took it easy all day by and large. Yesterday and today my family kept
watching "One Piece" on TV, although they already knew the stories.
I went to th supermarket on an errand. Suggested we eat buckwheat noodles
a little after 11:00 p.m., but my wife said it was too early. I did not
think so.
Friday, December 30, 2011 Fair
Yesterday our second son came home from Tokyo. I played mahjong with
my family until the wee hours of this morning. Today sorting out lots of
papers, throwing away unnecessary ones. Quite a hassle. Have eaten a lot
so far, gaing weight. Too bad.
Wednesday, December 28, 2011 Fair
Had an encounter with an old man as sly as a fox at a station. If this
world waa full of such men, young peoeple would find it sickening to live
in this day and age. So would I, although I am not that young. Some young
people sometimes go berserk with rage. That is not the right thing to do,
but some adults are unfair enough to drive such youngsters mad.
Tuesday, December 27, 2011 Fair
Before leaving for work, feeling tired, I slept a little longer. At work
spent a few hours typing. Finished making the Reading exam. Yesterday so
exhausted at the end of the day, hit the sack ealier than usual.
Sunday, December 25, 2011 Fair
Today my wife and I went out on shopping spree. We bought things like
a blazer, two pairs of trousers, a tie, a dress shirt, a jacket, a pir
of shoes, two LED lights, a small clock radio, etc. We ate udon for lunch
at the usual drive-in udon shop. Yesterday I cleaned the bedroo, the backyard
and the balcony, after which I really felt tired. The day before yesterday
wrote New Year's cards.
Thursday, December 22, 2011 Cloudy
Took a couple of hours off and came home earlier than usual. At work
there were two meetings-a Student Council teachers' meeting and then a
staff meeting., after which I sent my homeroom kids their second-term results.
Also made one English Ⅰhandout. Yeterday was the deadline for inputting
the second-term results. Check the results over and over again. Also taught
two classes. One mistake-"homemaker" not "home maker"
for "housewife."
Tuesday, December 20, 2011 Fair
Been to the Korean language school. Made one mistake in class. On the
way home bought box suppers for me and my wife at the department store.
Yesterday was OK-not so busy as I had expected, although it was the deadline
for second-term reports and tests. Kim Jonil of North Korea died yesterday
at 69.
Sunday, December 18, 2011 Fair
A workday. Five students promised to come over, but only two of them
kept their word. Had an English study session. Although it was Sunday,
it was kind of a busy day. Yesterday took it easy at home except that I
solved the Super Crossword, because I was tired out the day before. Just
toil and moil each day.
Friday, December 16, 2011 Cloudy
Yesterday finished the school festival money stuff. Took me and another
colleague a couple of hours. I took all the money down to the office, where
the clerk took a double check on that, which took over half an hour. Today
was another tough day. After teaching in the first period, eight students
came for their makeup or retest at different times. Had to check over 40
reports. Kept working for nearly seven hours. Give me a break, man!
Wednesday, December 14, 2011 Cloudy
Will have to make a report on accounts for the school festival. Thinking
of doing it tomorrow with the help of a couple of colleagures. Today was
a very busy day.
One Reading class to teach and nearly 30 reports to check. One retest.
A couple of students to help with their study of English.
Tuesday, December 13, 2011 Cloudy
Yesterday I had the vice principal my English Ⅰclass. I was kind of
inspected. My past bosses commented on my classes frankly, but this time
no comment. Maybe he did not appreciate it. Any we have different departments.
Today went to the Korean language school. I thought I should enjoy my time
there rather than regard it as a lesson I have to take.
Sunday, December 11, 2011 Cloudy
Reporting for work quite early in the morning because it was our school
festival day today. A bit after 9:00 a.m got the morning attendance sheets
ready with the help of a colleague. Then checked how the trash boxes were
being used. Also following another colleague's advice, passed out ten extra
trash bags. Removing the attendance sheets around 20 minutes past noon,
this time stuck the afternoon ones around 1:20 p.m. after collecting the
trash boxes and putting them away in the warehouse. In the meantime, made
a couple of worksheets for my next English classes. That was a full day.
Provided serive above and beyond the call of duty. However, it never merits
anthing in today's world of teachers in this prefecture. Well, the school
is back to normal, spick-and -span. Tomorrow will be business as usual.
Life goes on... Yesterday I came to work and made necessary preparations,
putting 16 trash boxes in place and the desk for attendance check in place
as well. Took well over two hours.

Came back home taking a couple of hours off since there were no classes
to teach today. However, a few students came over for a makeup or something.
In addition, checked over 20 reports and had an English study session.
Yesterday, too, took a couple of hours off to spend some time with my wife.
Wednesday, December 7, 2011 Fair
Today was a so very busy day at work. It was almost at 8:00 p.m. that
I ate supper. Two classes to teach. Two makeups to take care of. A couple
of students to help with their reports. Over 20 reports to check. Yesterday
was not my day at the Korean language school. I made a couple of silly
booboos. It was stupid of me.
Monday, December 5, 2011 Fair
At work only one class to teach, but one makeup and one Englsih Ⅰstudent
to help with her reports. Therefore, no break until 7:00 p.m. Got the attendance
sheets ready for the school festival. On the homeward bound train were
two young high school girls who at first seemed to have no manners, but
as time went on, that was not the case as it turned out. They are also
trying hard in this cut-throat age and world.
Sunday, December 4, 2011 Fair
Today being a workday, I went to work and made two worksheets, also having
an English study session and doing other miscellanesos stuff. With one
of the English teachers went to see our vice principal to talk about the
number of English teachers for next school year. Yesterday went to my home
doctor and got a flu shot.
Friday, December 2, 2011 Cloudy
Worked on the Super Crossword first thing in the morning. Therefore,
could not afford to do anything else this morning. At work quite busy all
the time. Got so exhausted I got some rest sitting in the couch for some
time. Yesterday came back home earlier than usual because after presiding
ove the staff meeting I had not much much to do.
