Drove our first-born son's stuff over to his new place. He now has his
wife. He has moved out of his parents' place today. My wife kept me company
to and back from there. It was dangerous to drive in the rain-especially
these highways. The monotony of driving makes me sleepy.

Prepared for the next staff meeting on April 2. Also got ready for the
English teachers' meeting on the same day. Disposed of the attendance slips
for this past school year by shredding them. April is a hectic month.

Spent much time reading Sidney Sheldon's Master of the Game. Will be
done. It is a very thick papberback, though. I was put on the spot for
not uploading some info on the work I have done this past school year.
It was just that the info was still a mess, but it was done on shor notice.
Lack of consideration or imagination pervails at the workplace these days.
Following suit with the bosses? Yesterday had an English study session
with my Korean friend.

Today's staff meeting was kind of a mess because the matters to discuss
could not be decided by majority vote. We seem to be going through a transitional
period. The direction in which we are moving is not necessarily correct,
though. Yesterday helped enclose the necessary document in the pre-adressed
envelopes. This was for the entrance exam committee. On Sunday took it
easy at home.
Saturday, March 24, 2012 Fair and windy.
Our first-born son went to his new place. I drove over to my mother's
place for her 83rd birthday and also with a gift for my niece's newly-born
baby. I watched a new Chinese drama on TV this evening. Chinese history
is fun. A bit too cruel, though.

How come somebody can tell such a transparent lie? Also why are some
people impudent enough to make such personal remarks? Curses come home
to roost. Everyone is fighting over a limited amount of pie, being willful
and selfish. A big talker wins the game. Really grease for the squeaking
wheel. Such is life.

Our English Department is in trouble now. Rumors spread, ... by whom?
Anyway it is always a black sheep or a scapegoat that any group of people
try to find. I have seen this so many times. It seems that this is in our
nature. Because of YOU I am or we are like this. Putting the blame on someone
else is a very self-righteous way which most people utilize. This is what
is happening now.

Again we seemed to have fewer applicants than last year today. Well,
this 2012 seems to be a transitional year for this high school. Yesterday
two Chinese serial dramas ended-"Qin Emperor" and "Queens."
Chinese history was really so harsh nobody won. Everyone was a loser in
one way or another.

Day one of the latter entrance exam for our school. Not as many applicants
as usual. There was a curriculum committee meeting as usual. The day after
tomorrow our English department rep will let me know the details. Yesterday
drove over to our first-born son's condo for the first time. Quite conveniently
situated. On the 17th inactive due to the bad weather.

Yesterday was quite chilly. So was today. I took a few hours off and
came back home both days. Yesterday I burned the midnight oil working on
the Super Crossword Puzzel. Today I typed in some info into the electronic
school records. My smartphone is still handful. Every day is a struggle.
It is an expensive gadget.

Did not realize that I had not written in my diary for so long. Today
being a substitute holiday, went to the dentist for a checkup, paid the
Korean class tuition for the next term, checked out a couple of books at
the library, bought something for lunch, relaxing for the rest of the day,
watching the recordings of the morning Korean drama and the Chinese drama
"The Qin First Emperor." The day before yesterday was the last
day for the Chinese course. Said to my teahcer "Glad to know you"
in Chinese. In the Korean class, our teacher complained about her chest
bone pain, so another teacher, who was leaving Japan soon, came in and
talked with us in Korean. Mrach the 11th and 13th were our school's entrance
exam days. I interviewed some exmainees and also wan on telephone duty.

Things did not go as planned. Did not read at all. Did not study Korean
or Chinese at all. Just watched the recordings of some Chinese dramas.
Yesterday at work applicants fell short of the necessary number. Took a
couple of hours off. My wife bought me a plastic cover for my Smartphone.

Yesterday in charge of receiving applications. Today on telephone duty
down in the office. Still struggling with my Smartphone, which is really
an expensive gadget. This morning started my slow joggiing in the field
in back of our place. I jogged very slowly for 30 minutes for so.
Tuesday, Mrach 6, 2012 Cloudy
The weather was nasty yesterday andthe day before yesterday, which means
I was unable to tale a walk. Yesterday double-checked the subjects the
homeroom kids are taking next school year. The new Smartphone was taken
to the au shop because there was something wrong with it. The problem was
solved all right. Today went to the Korean class and also the Chinese.
The latter was a mess because I did not do my reviewing. Too bad.

Day one for our school's application. Not many applicants came to the
place I was in charge of today, but having forgotten how to go through
all the procedure, made some mistakes, which I corrected later. Today's
sum-up Student Council teachers' meeting lasted for over an hour.
Saturday, March 3, 2012 Cloudy
My wife and I visited the neighborhood au shop to buy a Smartphone. It
took us over two hours just to listen to their explanation. Back home struggled
setting up the Smartphome until midnight. Still we had a lot of questions
to ask, though.
Friday, March 2, 2012 Cloudy
So very busy settleing Student Council accounts. That was almost done
anyway. Just a couple of students who came at the last minutes. The way
the contract English teacher dealt with the one who came at the very last
minute was just incredible, preposterous. The interview with the boss was
just as I had expected-faultfinding from above, not assessing the whole
job properly. Education is no longer education. No future for Osakan public
education.
Thursday, March 1, 2012 Cloudy
There was an explanation meeting about the coming entrance examination,
which took over an hour. Worked on the Super Crossword. Took two hours
off and came back home. We Englsih teachers are now wondering what will
become of our Englsih department workloadwise. I am afraid the management
has little idea about our situation.
