　Yesterday and today, too, spent a few hours reading in the city library. Today went to the sign language club for the first time in two years. During this first half of the so-called Golden Week, gained over a kilo. Too bad!!!

Sunday, April 28, 2013 Fair

　Visited the library and spend a couple of hours reading eight different books little by little. Today there was a group of noisy kids. They had no manners, but the library attendants did not pay any attention. Next time this kind of thing takes place, I would rather sit on one of those solitary chairs where it is quiet.

Saturday, April 27, 2013 Fair

　Went jogging along the road as it is Saturday today. In the morning cleaned the balcony and weeded the backyard after doing the dishes and cleaning the sink while my wife and her mother were away from home to see the doctors as usual. In the afternoon spent a few hours reading some books in the city library.

Friday, April 26, 2013 Fair and then cloudy, thundering for a while.

　Put the homeroom students' school records in order. Then began to make a sheet for the judgment conference for graduating students. Almost out of Reading reports. Just one left, so ran off 16 more.

Thursday, April 25, 2013 Fair

　Two meetings at work. After the meetings rearranged the school records according to the new class formation. Ran out of time and left the workplace on time with some work left undone.

Wednesday, April 24, 2013 Rainy

　Yesterday went to the Korean language school. Today went to work. Got the school records ready for tomorrow's reshuffling.

Monday, April 22, 2013 Fair

　At work made one handout, but I need to revise it later. Also prepared the English �Tattendance stats sheet by using EXCEL. Back home, got on the Internet to get info on the teaching of English for this coming term. There was an English teachers' meeting on the workload.

Sunday, April 21, 2013 Cloudy

　All day at home except when I went jogging and shopping. Our littler cat again will not eat. Bought something different for her to eat, but ... Did not feel like doing anything today. Got to wait for my energy to accumulate inside of me, sort of. My wife is down with a slight cold.

　Our first-born son came over in the late afternoon, leaving around 8:30 p.m. while it was raining lightly. He really brings rain. He loves to play with the cats. Today I was a bit sick and had to go to see a doctor. I AM aging. Well, life is fragile.

　At work helped to check the school records of those who quit this school. Took about two hours. Finished reading a library book on the teaching of English in high school. Very interesting. Came across my Korean friend in the printing room, conversing with her in Korean for a while.

　I am going to have nearly 40 students for my Reading class this school year-almost the same as last year. From this year on, according to the Ministry of Education and Science, we English teachers are supposed to teach English in English except while explaing grammar or something, but I wonder how many of us will really put that into practice.

　I sweated because I wore a rather thick jacket. At work did the stats for the future courses of the new homeroom kids. Studied Korean for next week's class. Spent some time reading two library books, too. I have realized that education now means something different for students today. It used to be taken as a means of going up the social ladder, but today education no longer funtions that way. It never gives them hope if it is given the way it has been. Thati is why the so-called "collaborative learning" is called for these days.

Tuesday, April 16, 2013 Fair

　Been to the Korean language school for the first time in a month or so. We had a new teacher, a male teacher for the first time at this institute. He had us speak a lot and he himself spoke a lot in Korean, which was a lot better than before.

Monday, April 15, 2013 Fair

　Yesterday did some cleaning at home. Now the desk is tidy. Today reported for work by 9:00 a.m. On duty in front of the gym after 9:3:0 a.m. Around 10:50 a.m. went up to the classroom where I was supposed to help with the sign-up of 10 new students. After helping collect the papers, photos, etc, began helping with the sign-up at about 11:30 a.m. Taking a 25-minute break until 12:32 p.m., resumed it, finishing it around 2:30 p.m. Then put the papers in order, inputted the data, and did the printing. Around 3:30 p.m. heped put the folding chairs and sheets away. It was a long, tiring day.

　Got up early in the morning and while mopping the floor, my Smartphone went off. At first I did see what was going on. The cats growled and got panicky. My wife said calmly"It's an earthquake." I said, "Come get under the table." She kept lying. I felt the floor sway and wonder if this might be another huge one. I said to turn on the TV. The epicenter was close to Shodo Island in the Inland Sea. We have had such a big one as this for the first time in 18 years.

　Yesterday I made a booboo. I forgot to get an extension on a library book online, so I have to return it today. This time I had two books overdue. At work took a double check on the worK I did yesterday. Found a couple of errors. Also read the manuals again. Now all set for Monday.

Thursday, April 11, 2013 Cloduy and rather chilly.

　At work no time to help wit the shipment of printed matter to students. Prepared for helping the new students take their subjects for this school year. Took me some two hours.

Wednesday, April 10, 2013 Cloudy and rainy.

　Pretty busy at work. Three meetings to attend-the Info meeting for one hour, the staff meeting for two hours, and the explanatory meeting for one and a half hours. Then I had some more work to do. Left the workplace with the work unfinished for lack of time.

Tuesday, April 9, 2013 Fair

　Went the round of our banks. Also to the post office. Took us almost all afternoon. My wife says, as always, she has to get exercise because of her overweight. Easier said than done. Just wait and see this time. Hopefully .... I'll keep my fingers crossed anyway.

Monday, April 8, 2013 Fair

　Among the 23 homeroom students just one did not sign up. Between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. I was on report room duty. The trains were pretty crowded on the way to work.

Sunday, April 7, 2013 Rainy and windy.

　The "spring storm" contiued from yesterday. I hate to shut myself up in the house, but had no choice. My wife kept coughing yesterday and was in a very mean mood just like the weather outside.

　Nasty weather. Was not able to go jogging. Hanging out inside all day is not for me. They say this bad weather will stay tomorrow as well. Too bad. This past week was the first one as a reemployed teacher. Well, it is not bad because I have more time for myself.

　Yesterday I left work at 4:30 p.m. , which was quite nice. It reminded me of the good old days. I got back home early and relaxed. We teachers have been super-duper busy with this and that at work. Today I swiped my ID card at 8:00 p.m. and left for home. Right now am thinking of a better way to teach my students English.

　Doing some household chores in the morning before leaving for work, no time to rest on the massager. At work did some more cleaning in the room. Helped with the Info dept work. So tiring because of the monotony and complexity of the nature of the work. I am not the right man for that kind of work.Not suited for that.

Tuesday, April 2, 2013 Cloudy and then rainy.

　In the morning off to the bank with my wife to pay off the bank loan. Then over to another bank to open an account. After that went to the post office to cancel a couple of insurance contracts and transfer the money to my account there. Also went shopping for a couple of electric appliances for my wife's sis. A full day.

　Day one of my reemployment. Quite hectic, but left for home a bit early, which is good. Back home solved the Super Crossword. Yesterday odered two books online from Amazon. They came today. So quick!
