　The online test for STEP examiners took over three hours. It does not pay because it means I work twice longer than before. I got really exhausted although today was Sunday, a holiday. I know the examiners should be trained and ready, but this seems too much.

Saturday, June 29, 2013 Fair

　Went slow-jogging with my wife in the usual park just now. A new takoyaki shop opened today in the neighborhood. Bought okonomi just to have a taste taste. That was okay. Checked out a couple of books at the municupal library. However, I am now out of energy and in no mood to read anything.

Friday, June 28, 2013 Cloudy and slightly rainy.

　Taught in the first period. There were some kids who were not willing to study. Participation is not too good, but I will never give in. I stick to the way I believe in. Begun making the 3rd-term Communicaiton English �Treports. It is kind of fun because it is something new.

　At work busy making handouts. There was also a joint staff meeting on this year's budget. Leaving for home around 4:30 p.m., bought two pork cutlet bento at the usual department. Went slow-jogging with my wife at night for 40 minutes or so.

Wednesday, June 26, 2013 Rainy

　A physician or a nurse often neglects his or her own health. My wife keeps coughing. She will not listen to me. At work busy making handouts and doing the printing. Because I had only five or six reports to correct, I had enough time to do other work. Today's Communication English �Twas OK. Although there were not too many students, participation was not too bad.

　Off to the sign language club in the morning and to the Korean class in the afternoon, where I got interviewed by some Korean college kids. I answered rather smoothly in Korean, for I was prepared for this. I attended today's class prepared. In the evening went to the bank with my wife to buy some other insurance, this time in terms of Australian dollars, which could be a bit risky, though.

Monday, June 24, 2013 Rainy and then cloudy.

　Over the weekend I drank too much. Now I have heartburn. Too bad. I should have been nice to my liver. That is what a good liver does. At work corrected well over 20 reports. Sent the homeroom kids their respective report status quo. Still in the process of making some handouts for my next classes. "Bike operation".

　Visited the bank with my wife and bought some insurance. It cost us a fortune, though. Well, I have little idea wht the future has in store for us, but I think I had better do something about it anyway whatever the result may be. Whatever may happen to me, my wife can manage to live her life then. That is all I can do for her.

　Went "slow-jogging" twice- early in the monirng on my own and in the evening with my wife. Drank some beer and sake at lunch with my wife, taking a rather long nap later. It has been a lazy Saturday.

　Had two teachers visiting my class today, but the heat and humidity inside the classroom was killing me then. The air-conditioning was not working. I dread teaching in this kind of bad environment. Exhausted, decided to take a couple of hours off.

　Could not go 'slow-jogging' due to the nasty weather. At work the meetings ended earlier than I had expected, so I was able to do some other work. Left the school at the designated time and headed back home as usual. Spent time with my family as usual. Dropped off to sleep early. Did not study at all at home tonight. (Written the next morning.)

　Busy at work as always, teaching, making handouts, etc. I was speechless today at something, but I have little idea what to do with it. In today's class there was not much participation among the young ones. Participation is always a big problem. Without participation, learning could not take place.

　I am in no mood to do anything today. I did not go to the sign language club, whose atmospher has changed a lot. I went to the Korean class anyway, but I did not feel like doing anything. Bought the usual pork cultlet bento at the department. Our little cat went to see the vet again.

　So exhausted today. Is it because of this heat or the hard work? Anyway tired out at the end of the day. Maybe one of the reasons is a shortage of time at work since, being a reemployed teacher, I work for shorter hours. However, the quality of the work is condensed.

　Went to the wholesale grocery store by bike like last Sunday with my wife. Then after eating lunch this time to Kohnan to buy some canned cat food. Other than this just a lazy Sunday.

Saturday, June 15, 2013 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.

　My wife took her mother and her aunt to a play. It must have been quite a hassle. She really put a lot effort into this. On the way home, it was raining so hard, too. In the meantime, she came home while they were enjoying the play. I prepared something for her to eat for lunch. We went slow-jogging tonight. too.

Friday, June 14, 2013 Fair and so hot.

　Sweltering hot. Taught one class in an air-conditioned classroom. Made a handout for next week's class. Helped two homeroom students with this and that. Back home went slow-jogging with my wife in the neighborhood park for 40 minutes or so.

　Been another hot day. At work made the first-tern exam in Reading and some handouts for the next class. No staff meeting. While the cat's away, the mice will play....

Wednesday, June 12, 2013 Fair

　Been so hot today, but we had volleyball matches in the 2nd and 3rd periods. The gym was so hot and humid. After that, I prepared some handouts for the next classes.

Tuesday, June 11, 2013 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.

　In the morning off to the sign language club, which is no longer what it used to be. The atmosphere has changed-not relaxing but kind of restless. Things have changed and so have people. Been to the Korean class. Our new teacher is really great.

　I had my OC�Tclass visited by two colleagues today. This month we are supposed to visit each other's ckasses, whicn is not bad but the comment sheet is far from good. It wrecks human realtions because it can make some of us feel small, that is, it is not encouraging but discouraging.

　Almost all day running around by bike shopping. Bought a TV for my wife's sis, two sets of earphones for the two of us, some fruit, cat food, clothing. etc. While we were at it, dropped by a noodle shop for lunch. Late last night went jogging with my wife.

　Yesterday I left school without participating in the shipment work for lack of time. Today I had a colleague visit my Reading class. Looks like he sticks to the grammar translation method. His comment reminded me of a woman teacher who is now president of a junior college but has a sharp tongue. She was not an encourager but a discourager tryng to control everybody else.

Wednesday JUne 5, 2013 Fair

　Yesterday as soon as I got back from the Korean class and ate supper, I went to bed to rest, falling asleep and slept until the wee hours. Today I had to do some unexpected work, so I could not work as planned. Too bad.

Monday, June 3, 2013 Fair

　Been to work after an interval of three days. Seemed that I needed some extra energy to get started again. It is a kind of inertia that keeps me going-or some force of habit maybe. Corrected over 20 reports, which tast took me quite a long time at work. Two classes to take care of.

　Just been to the park to jog with my wife. Day 4. If she so desires, we can do it four times a week. It is said that, if we get enough exercise to consume 300, 000 calories, we can lose weight for sure. We will see. I do not want to force her, though. Finished reading two books.

　Been to the dentist. Maybe got to see him soon. The front upper tooth feels a bit strange. Went slowjoggin with my wife this evening, too. Took a rather long afternoon nap. Just finished solving the Super Crossword.
