　Getting up early, went jogging while it was still dark, cleaning the park at the same time. The scenery is most beautiful just before sunrise. The sky seems like a canvas on which nature is depicted. Late in the afternoon cleaned the backyard. Two large-sized plastic garbage bags of fallen leaves and weeds.

Friday, November 29, 2013 Rainy and then cloudy.

　It began raining in the middle of my morning jog. Came back home quickly. After teaching in the first period, a long convesation on the phone with a homeroom student's mother. Could not do other work. Took three hours off. On the way home broke my journey and walked around a newly-developed shopping area.

　At work got all the three tests ready anyway. Also printed an OCI handout. Working all the while there, I got really tired. On the way home, made a stopover at a different station and got a new pair of shoes. Quite expensive.

Wednesday, November 27, 2013 Cloudy, occasionally rainy and also thundering.

　Visited Korea Town for the first time in quite a few days. A colleague of mine and I took a couple of students there. The place has undergone some changes. I bought some kimchi and ramen. The others ate chijimi while walking. Made a handout or two, and also did some printing.

　Went to the sign language 'circle', but so sleepy I came back home in the middle of the meeting. I woke up early this morning, reading a book. In the evening went to the Chinese class.

　Could not put Cat's-Paw-san's latest cat image on my webpage. Maybe there is something wrong with my Homepage Builder. At work, so busy as usual. The audience was small partly due to the wet weather, but their participation was okay.

　Jogged along the road for 40 minutes or so this morning. Read a couple of library books. Went to the library to check out a few books and return three books. On the way home bought something for supper at the usual supermarket. Time passes so ordinarily now, with which fact I should be content in a world such as this.

　Stayed at home almost all day. Finished reading a library book. A scifi book by Mayumura Taku. Kind of nostalgic. I would often listen to him talk on the radio when in high school. Now he is around 80.

　At work no time to breathe. Just kept working all the time I was there. Could not affrod to shoot the breeze like somebody down there on the second floor. What a difference! Anyway, better to keep busy than to have not much to do. Sour grapes.

　Went to work and attended two meetings-an Info Department meeting and a regular staff meeting. That was it. Made part of an English handout, too.

Wednesday, November 20, 2013 Rainy and then cloudy.

　Quite busy at work. Corrected around 20 reports. Taught two classes. Running around all the time. My heart was pitapatting when I hurried from the second floor to the seveth floor. It is something an old man should not attempt. However, using the situation I was in, I taught my class the present perfect tense, giving a sample sentence-"I have just arrived here," saying, "See? I am out of breath now although I arrived here a while ago. I am breathing hard now, which is the result of the action which ended a while ago..."

Tuesday, November 19, 2013 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.

　Went to the sign language 'circle' in the morning, and then to the Chinese class in the evening. I got a mail from a college pal at midnight. Wrote back, saying I could not come to his invitation. Then his attitude changed abruptly, even saying something rude. I would rather avoid this kind of company.

　The deadline for the second term at our school. There were several makeups and retests. There was a dubious case, but I let things as they were. Over 20 reports to check. Came back home with some uncorrected.

Sunday, November 17, 2013 Cloudy, later rainy and thundering.

　Did the Super Crossword for the first time in a couple of months. Glad our author is back. My morning jog was done along the usual road, not in the park. My wife and I rode our respective bike to Kohnan to buy our cats' food and toilet sand. On getting back home, the sky got threatening and began raining and thundering. We barely made it back home.

　Did my jog early in the morning. The park was litered all over. Frsit had to pick up after some people with bad manners. Went to the English conversation school in the morning after visiting two diffenrent places early. Took it easy in the afternoon. My wife took the grandma and her sister to a play.

　Oouldn't go jogging this morning because of rain. Too bad. It upsets my system. At work took care of five makeups. No time to take a break. It is a rip-off. I could not get out for my jog during my legitimate break.

　At work there was a teachers' education session about human rights, which lasted nearly two hours. Before that made a handout, which took me less than an hour. Ate Coco-Ichi curry for the first time today. So-so.

　I got questioned by one of the bosses about what I had no idea about. I was in the dark about what was going on. It all began with a call from one of the clerks. There seemed to be a lack of communication. This reminded me of the time when I got questioned by the police. I remember some policemen incriminating an innocent boy. Is this country becoming more of a police state?

　In the morning our sign language 'circle' visited a certain factory. The factory is highly automated. Just amazing! We ate lunch togetehr at a family restaurant. In the evening went to the Chinese class.

　Did a lot of things at work. Handed in the year-end-adjustment slip with the help of the kind clerk, visited a fellow English teacher's class, who turned out to be very good at explaining grammar, handed in a report sample, taught a class, took care of two makeups, etc. Another full day.

　I did my morning jog as usual for 40 minutes or so. So very slowly after doing a litttle cleaning in the park as usual. Went to the library to return a book and check out several books. On the way back tried to find some cat food for our little cat, but they were out of stock.

　Went jogging early today. Although today is a holiday for me, I have tried to do my routine work. Went to the dentinst for a periodic checkup. My wife's mom bought a cell phone today. She is 90 now. That was my wife's decision. She often comes up with drastic ideas.

　Another full day at work. Two classes to teach in the first and third periods. Checked around 20 reports and took care of a makeup during the break between 4:30 and 5:15 p.m. I could not take my break today. What a rip-off!

　Again this new integrated ICT network is less convenient. Whose idea is it? No sense of beauty in terms of usage. Well, maybe they want to spend less money this way. My jogging at work will be restricted to the break between 4:30 and 5:15 p.m. However, I often have a student or two to help with their English then. Sometimes little time to eat supper, though.

　The new ICT network at work is a hassle. The situation has worsened and become all the less convenient. Today helped a couple of students with their reports for over two hours. I almost missed my supper. Checked around 20 reports. Among them were some reports I had a hard time deciphering. Exhausted extremely.

　Been to the sign language "circle" and the Chinese language class. Although it was a day off, today felt like a full day. The tap water began to feel a bit cold, and our two cats huddle together for warmth these days.

　I am reading a novel entitled "Memoirs of Geisha," which takes me way back to the Taisho era. The story takes place in Gion, Kyoto. I am done only about one third of the stroy. It is getting interesting. From time to time playing Scrabble online. When you are lucky, you get good tiles. When not, you have just six vowel letters or six consonant letters, for instance. Then you are at a loss.

　I am reading a certain English paperback. Although it began to become interesting, I am making slow progress. This morning drank so much green tea I had to go to the bathroom frequently all day.

　Yesterday took three hours off and came home after making one handout and attending the ITC explanatory meeting. Today went to the English Conversation School for the first tiem in two years or so. Had a good time talking in English. Then at home spent some time reading two library books. Visited the newly-opened convenience store in the neighborhood for the first time. Not much.
