This morning my wife was not feeling well, so I said
for her not to fix lunch for me. I let her relax. I took three hours off amd
came home after buying some bread for supper. I AM the breadwinner. I eat good
bread because I am well-bred. Just joking.

Today's athletic meeting ended around 2:00 p.m. Things
went very smoothly. I was one of the "judges" as usual. I also made
some handouts and did some printing for my next classes. On the way home joined
my wife and her mother and went to the polls for the mayoral electtion.

Already tomorrow. Our second son came back home at
midnight, suddenly, as is often the case with him. I woke up and played
Scrabble. Bot to go back to bed. I am working this morning. Sports Day.

The classrooms are still air-conditioned. The
temperature is still around 30 degrees Celsius. Made one handout and checked
around ten reports. Went jogging with a colleague for the first time in many
days. At last, handed in the 3rd-term Communication English Ⅰreports for
printing.

At work we Info Dept. people worked together putting
the school records in order. Down in the staff room I found some people
shooting the breeze as usual. What a work divide! Inequality in terms of
workload.
Wednesday, September 25, 2013 Fair
Yesterday I attended the sign language club's weekly
meeting. There was a bazaar there. Last week I attended the Korean language
class for the last time. Therefore I can fully participate in the sign language
club activities using sign language. Also yesterday evening went to the Chinese
class. Today at work so very busy. Taught in the second period, checked some
reports, made some teaching plans, etc. A full day.
Monday, September 23, 2013 Fair
Been to Mom's place. My sis took me and Mom to Dad's
grave in her car. On the way back did some shopping. I was entertained with
quite a few slices of great meat for lunch. So very expensive! We talked a lot
about this and that. Around 3 p.m. I headed home. My sis gave me a ride to the
nearest station. Mom came, too, in the same car.

Went shopping for cat food because today is the 22nd
(nyan×nyan day) and they had a sale on cat food. Tomorrow I am going to visit
my dad's grave with my mother adn my sister in the morning. Returned two
library books. Finished reading one, and the other unfinished, though. Checked
out two books.

Did nothing in particular except for the morning slow
jog and listening to the iPod. Oh, also I made the Reading test for the second
term first thing in the morning at home. As to this game Scrabble, I have found
you sometimes keep getting only tiles worth 1 point.

At work I just kept making handouts all the time. The
schooling schedule has gotten quite tight. I wonder how the students are
feeling about it. I guess they are also under much more stress than last year.
This seems to be putting the cart before the horse. The students should come
first.

Today's working hours were not long, but the work
density was high. They are trying to restructure the system of this school
because the work force will be reduced soon. This kind of thing seems to be
happening nowadays wherever you go, not only in this country but also in the
rest of the world.

I was busy at work. Corrected some reports. Helped a
couple of students with their reports. Two classes in a row. Had to make a
handout for my next class-the so-called bicycle operation as usual. I beat
about for my misplaced pocket calendar for a couple of days. I found it in my
bag, of all places.
Tuesday, September 17, 2013 Fair
It has cleared up after the typhoon No. 18, which has
brought lots of rain across the country. This afternoon went to the Korean
class for the last time. I have studied Korean there for over eight years.
Today was the last day for me because I am done with the most advanced course,
although my ability in Korean is far from satisfactory.

Within in the area affected by this typhoon. The river
running through the town almost overflowed, I hear. My morning jog was called
off due to the rain and wind. Shut up indoors all day. I studied a little for
tomorrow's Korean test, the very last one.

It has been rainy almost all day due to the
approaching typhoon. Finished reading a library book. Returned two library
books and did some shopping. Although people who live in glass houses should
not throw stones, as the saying goes, it is a different story if you get hit by
any of those stones. You have got to stand up for yourself.
Saturday, September 14, 2013 Overcast and windy.
It has been a lazy Saturday. I went to the nearby park
for my daily jog as usual first thing in the morning. Back home took out the
garbage as usual. Relaxed for the rest of the day, doing nothing in particular.
I need to study for the very last Korean test to be given next Tuesday. Got to
finish reading another library book.
Friday, September 13, 2013 Fair
Yesterday evening was fun. I dined and drank with some
laides and gentlemen with whom I study Chinese. At work some are not honest and
that is unavoidable to a certain extent for survival. I am not against
diversity in this world. However, dishonesty is a bit too much when someone
bad-mouths somebody else and tries to hide it in a braven-faced manner. That is
a case of petty conspiracy. I do not buy that. I have seen a lot of that in my
life, and that is an abhorrence to me. Honesty should be the best policy.

Incredibly busy at work. Quite a few gate crashers.
No time to relax. Barely ate my supper. Had the boss visit my Communication
English Ⅰclass with poor participation. However, the way English is taught this
year is kind of weird. I am against the one who made it. His way is quite the
other way around. I wish he would listen to me.
Tuesday, September 10, 2013 Fair
In the morning went to the local sign language club's
weekly meeting. In the afternoon off to the Korean language school's last class
but one. On the way home dropped by the department store to buy the usual port
cutlet bento. While waiting, signed up for a Takashimaya Point Card, which took
me 15 minutes or so.

Really had a full day at work. Made two teaching
plans, took care of some makeups, etc. besides teaching OCⅠin the third period.
Ran out of energy and came back home.

Finished reading a thick book entitled
"Makers," whose author predicts personal computers, 3D printers, the
Internet and so will revolutiionize the mode of production. I wish I were
familiar with CAD or these devices.

This evening went slow-jogging with my wife for the
first time in many days. She said, "I want my mother to live long."
Then I said, "Then you should stay healthy." Usually she won't listen
to me. Howver, this time my words were convincing enough? Maybe. Hopefully ...

There was a lecture on harassment for us teachers-an
annual event. It lasted for two hours or so. Therefore, I could hardly do
anything else.

While teaching in the thrid period, there was a heavy
rainstorm. The weather is kind of weird these days. Is it because of climate
change? Well, some people say there is no such thing as climate change, and
others don't. At work I had a full day as usual.

Absented myself from today's sign language meeting
because I had another commitment. Been to the Korean class in the afternoon.
Bought the department pork cutlet bento as uaual. Today did the Super Crossword
first thing in the morning.

I have worked a lot at work. I made a handout or two,
helped some students with this and that, corrected some reports, etc. It is
still muggy and I sweated a lot. I read a lot, too, on my way to and back from
work, on the train.

It is already September. There are signs that fall
will not be long in coming. However, it is still so humid and sometimes hard to
sleep at night.
