ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

Students' attendance seems to be generally poor these days. Compared
with the students ten years ago, these students today are not so willing
to attend. There may be something wrong, but I am not sure what it is.
I went jogging alone during the break at work.
Saturday, August 30, 2014 Fair
Instead of jogging in the park, did some "indoor shuttle jogging"
for 30 minutes or so. Today being a day off, relaxed at home all day. Tomorrow
I have to go to work.
Friday, Augst 29, 2014 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
Taught OCⅠin the third period tonight. No time to correct some "reports."
Came back home around 10:30 p.m. The weather has become cool all of a sudden.
Thursday, August 28, 2014 Cloudy, occsionally rainy.
Went slow jogging after hours at work with the usual colleague. On the
way home went to the usual department to buy bento for supper at my wife's
request.

A lazy day off. Woke up rather late in the morning these days. Instead
of going jogging, do the so-called indoor shuttle run, which has the same
effect as running outside. It is good because you can do it anytime you
want to.
Tuesday, August 26, 2014 Cloudy
Actually the last day of the summer vacation with school starting tomorrow
for our students. The fifth floor was deserted as usual by the time I hit
the road. Did my slow jog during the break for 30 nimutes or so, on my
own today. Yesterday with my female colleague, who says she is overweight
these days. My male friend was nowhere to be seen there in the park. My
right ankle still hurts a bit.
Did the printing for my firt two classes. The printing room was empty,
too. With translating the Morning Letter into English, having a hardtime
because I have no idea how to translate "satoru.""Enlightenment"
is too big a word. Drank a little chuhai for the first time in many days
and fell sleep. Writing this in the wee hours.

Today's staff meeting was the last one for an ordinary teacher to preside
over. From next time on the vice-principals will presdie. Things have been
decided unilaterally for the past few years. I wonder where Japanese education
is going. Nationalism and protectionism will bring about war.
Sunday, August 24, 2014 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
Went to meet our socond son's fiancee's parents. We had lunch together
at a Namba restaurant, chatting for two hours or so. We were rather casually
dressed, which was nice and comfortable.

Woke up so late this morning. Could not take out the garbage. Cound not
do my daily routine, either.
Friday, August 22, 2014 Fair
Sent the homeroom students a letter, informing them of the beginning
of the second term. During the break at work, went slow-jogging. Took an
hour off and hit the road. The fifth floor was deserted as usual.
Thrusday, August 21, 2014 Fair, occasionally cloudy.
There were mainly two lectures-one on disaster measures and the other
on power harassment. The death toll from the landslide in a Hiroshima town
will exceed 50. So sad about it. In order to prevent powerharassment, the
lecturer said, we need to keep worrying.
Wednesday, August 20, 2014 Fair
Off to the clinic in Suita City. Had only some physiotherapy. Next time
seeing the doctor. Finished reading a book.
Tuesday, August 19, 2014 Fair but so humid.
Reached level 400 in Candy Crush Saga. Tomorrow got to go to the clinic
up north. Also got to finish reading a couple of books.
Monday, August 18, 2014 Fair, occasionally so windy.
My week-long summer vacation is coming to an end. Played a lot of Candy
Crush Saga. Today I resumed my slow jogging. I jogged so slowly for minutes
or so. Refreshed.

A bit less humid than yesterdday. Worked on the Super Crossword. Got
to read a few books with in a couple of days.
Saturday, August 16, 2014 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
It has been so humid today. Finished reading a book. Did a little STEPWELL
and take a shower before going to bed.
Friday, August 15, 2014 Cloudy, occaionally sunny and rainy.
All day at home. Because of my bad right ankle no jogging for a week.
Gained a lot of weight. I think I will begin to work out tomorrow little
by little. Slowly, too. I am no longer young. Slow and steady in order
to die O.K.
Thursday, August 14, 2014 Cloudy
It has been another humid day, but it was not too hot, so it was okay.
Went to the DIY stores by bike with my wife to buy toilet paper, cat toilet
sand, etc. toward the evening, when it was supposed to be less hot. Finished
reading three library books and returned them.
Wednesday, August 13, 2014 Fair
Went to the clinic for my stomach checkup. Got there by 8:30 a.m. At
9:20 a.m. the examination began. At 10:00 a.m. woke up. By me was my wife.
The shot was O.K. this time. My stomach was O.K., too.
Tuesday, August 122, 2014 Cloudy
It has been a bit humid today. Tomorow I will have to swallow a gastric
camera-an annual event. Hope I will have a nurse who is good at giving
shots.
Monday, August 11, 2014 Fair
My sprained ankle still hurts, but went to work today. I had an ex-student
visiting with me for over an hour.
Sunday, August 10, 2014 Typhoon No.11. So rainy and windy.
Part of our town was under an evacuation order. The typhoon landed at
Akoh, Hyogo Prefecture.
Saturday, August 9, 2014 Rainy and windy.
All day at home on account of the approaching typoon. A couple of days
ago sprained my right ankle. It still hurts. Yesterday I ran too hard maybe.
Better to rest today.
Friday, August 8, 2014 Cloudy and then rainy and windy.
Typhoon No.11 is coming up this way. Perhaps the day after tomorrow it
will hit the Kinki district. Got to brace for it. Jogged with a fellow
teacher. He is a real marathon runner. So fast I barely followed him for
30 minutes or so.
Thursday, August 7, 2014 Fair
Slept well and woke up rather late, so could not go jogging. Did STEPWELL
instead indoors. At work worked almost as planned. On the way home bought
the department pork cutlet bento for the first time in many days as my
wife wished.

Jogging early in the morning was refreshing. During the day, however,
I was in no mood for anything. Just went shopping for cat food in the evening.

At work jodded for 20 minutes during the break in compliance with the
rules. The fifth floor was deserted. I was the only one working.
Monday, August 4, 2014 Cloudy, occasionally sprinkling.
At work there were not as many teachers as usual. I have put on a little
weight. I need to drink less alcohol. Maybe I should think of a way to
get more exercise, too.
Sunday, August 3, 2014 Cloudy and then rainy.
The weather worsened because of the typhoons. The heat and humidity were
OK today. This morning ran in the park. It seems to be better for the knees
than running on asphalt.
Saturday, August 2, 2014, Rainy, occasionally cloudy.
Could not go slow-jogging this morning because of rain. Went to the English
conversation session in the rain, but did not feel like talking. Maybe
because I was there unprepared. Worked on the Super Crossword around midnight.
