ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not

I have a sore throat. Now matter how hard I tried, the students would
not participate. As one fellow teacher said, the students are changing
or have changed for the worse. Their attendence has gone down. Not to mention
their participation.

Getting up early in the morning, went slow- jogging. I had four classes
to take care of today at work. Quite a lot. Really tired at the end of
the day.

In no mood to do anything. Just played Candy Crush Saga. Probably because
tomorrow is a workday for me, part of me wanted to take it easy.
Friday, June 27, 2014 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
Had a Korean study meeting in the afternoon. There were four of us. Taught
Communication English Ⅰin the first period. Urged the students to participate
orally, saying learning English is often like playing sports. Talked about
the need to practice.
Thursday, June 26, 2014 Cloudy and then rainy.
There are some kitten meaowing in the grassy place in back of our home.
Abandoned cats or a mother cat gave birth to them there. What a pity! In
this rain.
Wednesday, June 25, 2014 Fair
Did a lot of shopping-a pair of sandals( the ones I bought yesterday
were no good.), three pairs of five-toed socks, cat food, beer, a bag of
dried small fish and so on. Yesterday I slept a lot as if to catch up on
sleep.

Had some trouble uploading this diary. GeoCities must have done something
again. Well, I might close this web site sooner or late. I might have athelet's
foot although I am not much of an athlete. I might see the dermatotogist
tomorrow.

At work taught two classes in a row. The students' participation was
so-so. My right big toe is still in bad condition. I iced it at night.
It got a bit better anyway. According to my wife, an ex nurse, it is bleeding
inside maybe because I used a bit think insoles recently.
Sunday, June 22, 2014 Rainy and then cloudy.
Taught three classes at work. Urged my students to participate instead
of doing somethhing else. My right toe is in serious condition. It might
have to be operated on.-an ingrown nail.
Saturday, June 21, 2014 Cloudy and then rainy.
At last seems like the early-summer rainy season. Yesterday installed
a free counter onto my web page. Went to the English conversation school
and chatted for about two hours. Ate lunch and took a long afternoon nap.
Tomorrow is a workday.

Last night drank beer and fell asleep without doing what I thought I
would do. Today at work I had no classes for the first time in many days.
I took it easy and helped some students with their reports.
Wednesday, June 18, 2014 Cloudy, drizzling on and off.
Been to the clinic up north in Osaka. My physiotherapist massaged my
back and neck. Saw my doctor, too, who said almost the same thing as last
time. On the way home got a haircut and bought something for lunch for
my family, too. Returned three library books and checked out two books
in the evening. While I was at it, got something for supper so that my
wife could take it easy.

Back from work, tried to upload Facebook SCRABBLE but could not. I wonder
what is wrong with it. Going to the clinic up north tomorrow. A long way
up there.
Monday, June 16, 2014 Fair
Taught two classes tonight-OCⅠand C English Ⅰ. The former is OK, but
the latter is not OK as usual-little participation. For one thing, like
in other classes by other teachers, the students do something else. Nowadays
teachers cannot scold or rerpimand students like in the past. The customer
is always right. Education is a service you buy with your money.

My wife is feeling under the weather, so I proposed that we buy hokaben
for supper. She agreed and call the shop. I went out to get our order.
The hydrangeas in the backyard are now in bloom.

Jogged along the road this morning. For most of the day I was on my own
at home because my wife took her mother to a play. However, my wife came
back around noon and fixed lunch for me, leaving again to bring her mother
back home.

About twelve years ago when I first came to this school, the students
were more willing to learn. Today I got into the classroom and found most
of the students sitting in the back row or by the windows with few in the
middle or in the front row, which showed their reluctance to learn, maybe.
What should I do with them?

I woke up rather late this morning probably because I saw a midnight
Korean drama for two hours. Today I took care of my wife's mother's lunch
because she went out with her sister.

GeoCities' counter has been abolished on my web page. This was unilateral
all of a sudden-a sign of the times. Things have changed, and so have my
students, and so has our school. Went to the sign language club in the
morning.

Today's C English Ⅰclass was the worst so far-some students not participating.
I used to scold such students, but things have changed. The student is
always right, not the teacher. Com to think of it, with the report content
so easy and thin, they do not have to listen to their English classes.

It being a workday today, reported for work around 10:00 a.m., taking
an hour off. We teachers are supposed to visit other teachers' classes.
It is mandatory, so I visited a Korean class this morning. Taught Communication
English Ⅰin the 4th period. As soon as that class was over, had to hurry
to the gym, where today's volleyball matches were to be held, but I had
a couple of students asking me some questions.

Been to the English Discussion Groung session. Heard about US Army Rangers.
Truth is stranger than fiction. Force controls this world. They are professional
killing machines.
Friday, June 6, 2014 Cloudy, occaionally rainy and thundering.
Taught only one class-OCⅠ. Things went smoothly. Kind of enjoyed teaching.
Attendance was not good, though, maybe due to the bad weather.

Just two meetings to attend at work. On the way home made a stopover
and did some shopping.
Wednesday, June 4, 2014 Cloudy and then windy.
Yesterday went to the sign language club's weekly meeting. This club
is aging, too. There should be a generational change sooner or later. At
midnight happened to watch a Korean drama with my better half. Today finished
reading two library books and skimmed through two other books. Reburned
them at night, also checking out four.

There were only a few students in today's C English Ⅰclass. Participation
was poor, so I called on each student. I had no choice. There was something
wrong with my smartphone. I changed the password, and after some trial
and error it began to work OK. I had no idea why that was.

It has been so hot today I did not jog too long this morning. Played
some online games a lot. Jogged to and back from the supermarket this evening.
I bought some cat food.
