ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

All of a sudden our second son came back from Tokyo today to make arrangements
for their wedding. At work I was in charge of today's session of the summer
English course. The students' reaction was pretty good. I enjoyed myself,
too. Made another set of handouts. Just five to go.
Thursday, July 30, 2015 Fair and then cloudy.
Yesterday got a massage at the usual clinic in the morning and toward
the evening went to the dentist as usual. Today reported for work early
in the morning and had my chest x-rayed.
Tuesday, July 28, 2015 Fair
It was another hot and humid day. At work sent my homeroom students the
results of their first term tests. Also made another set of ひとり学習
handouts for the second term. Chatted a lot with a young colleague about
this and that.
Monday, July 27, 2015 Cloudy
So hot I sweated a lot, but at work I had no change of clothes. Made
one set of ひとり学習handouts and gave a couple of kids a makeup and a
retest.
Sunday, July 26, 2015 Fair
Went to the library, which was already closed, so returned three books
through the book drop. Did a little shopping on the way back. Tomorrow
is a workday.
Saturday, July 25, 2015 Fair
So hot and humid today I just rested at home all day. My age is showing.
I can hear a Bon festival going on at the nearby elementary school ground.
Friday, July 24, 2015 Cloudy
Jogged for a while three times-in the usual park, on the way to the station,
and during the break at work. In this way, I have less stress on my joints.
Gave some students makeups or retests.
Thursday, July 23, 2015 Rainy and then cloudy.
At work did nothing in particular except for some red tape. Spent the
rest of the time shooting the breeze. Jogged a litte in the morning and
again at night. My doctor's advice. I am old enough. Too much is as bad
as too little.
Wednesday, July 22, 2015 Rainy
Off to the usual clinic to get a maasage in the morning, and then in
the afternoon to a different clinic to have my stomach examined-an anual
event. But this year not at the usual one. The process was a bit painful
because I was not fully anesthetized like at the usual clinic.
Tuesday, July 21, 2015 Fair
It was so hot today, but the living room was rather breezy. I saw our
two cats sitting side by side and enjoying the breeze. Went out in the
evening, going here and there.
Monday, July 20, 2015 Fair
Marine Day today, and the end of the rainy season has been officially
declared. Went jogging early in the morning and at home for the rest of
the day. My wife and her mother went to the day care facility to have fun
together-an anual event. Almost finished reading a book.
Sunday. July 19, 2015 Cloudy
At work gave some students makeups and helped a student with her report.
Corrected some reports, marked the exam papers, and inputted the results.
Just routine work.
Saturdat, July 18, 2015 Cloudy
Yesterday it rained a lot due to Typhoon No.11, and I was at home all
day. I had to prepare myself for large-bowel endoscopy without the use
of sedative for the first time. I was so nervous, but as it turned out,
the doctor was so excellent and great as a person, too. I was relieved.
No polyp. Good news! But I will have to have this exam every three years
now that I am well over 60.
Thursday, July 16, 2015 Rainy
Typhoon No. 11 is coming this way. It was so windy my umbrella was blown
inside out on my way home from work. The day after tomorrow I am going
to have my intestine examined with an endoscope. I will not be anesthetized
then. I am already scared.
Wednesday, July 15, 2015 Fair
It is easy to get heat stroke in this kind of hot weather, so I did not
go jogging. I should get up a lot ealier to do so. Today this country may
have made a step toward war. Is this country already totalitalian?
Tuesday, July 14, 2015 Fair
It was so hot today some died of heat stroke. I got up too late and it
was already so hot I decided not to go jogging. My wife is thinking of
redoing the kitchen and the toilet.
Monday, July 13, 2015 Fair
Another hot day. At work on duy twice-first for the Report Room and then
in the teachers' room. Finished marking all the exam papers, sending them
back to the students.
Sunday, July 12, 2015 Fair
The weather has been so muggy. Nobody else in the English Interview Room
with no air-conditioning. Invigilated two exams and marked some exam papers.
The results seem far from OK.
Saturday, July 11, 2015 Fair
So hot and humid todat, too, I felt so languid. Went to Joshin to buy
a TV set, a scale, a printer, and three air cleaners. On the way home ate
udon for supper.
Friday, July 10, 2015 Cloudy
Luckily I was excused from test invigilation in the school nurses' room,
for there were none to take their test there. Corrected about 20 reports,
marked some Basic English test sheets and listened to a student for some
time. Also make a set of ひとり学習 handouts.
Thursday, July 9, 2015 Cloudy
It has been quite hot and humid today. There was a teachers' study and
training session. I chiefly listened to others, but their talk sounded
so empty I did not feel like saying anythng more.
Wednesday, July 8, 2015 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
Jogged in the park as usual first thing in the morning. Then took a shower
and off to the massager. Bought something for lunch on the way back. I
am now into frozen sake or sherbet sake.
Tuesday, July 7, 2015 Rainy and then cloudy.
The park was so muddy I walked around town in the morning. At work did
almost the same thing as yesterday.
Monday, July 6, 2015, Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
At work made one set of ひとり学習 handouts for the second term. Did
some other miscellaneous work, too. Took one hour off and came back home.
Sunday, July 5, 2015 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
My wife and I have been to the usual electric appliances shop, but the
clerk we like said there is going to be a sale next Saturday, so we will
go there again in a week. Worked on the Super Crossword toword the evening.
Saturay, July 4, 2015 Rainy
At work yesterday the audience was small in class, especially C English
Ⅱ. However, it tooke me quite some time to help a couple of students with
their English in the English teachers' room. Today went to the usual English
conversation school. Today's talk centered around same genger marriage,
whiich has become legal all over the United States.
Thursday, July 2, 2015 Cloudy
Jogged in the park slowly, taking in greenery. At work the Info dpt.
meeting lasted for 30 minutes or so. Some parents are asking for a parents'
section on the school web page. I wonder why that is. Then attended the
staff meeting, where the Career Guidance dpt. said for the homeroom teacher
to take care of everything for their job seeking homeroom students, assigning
part of their work to each homeroom teacher.
Wednesday, July 1, 2015 Rainy and windy, and then cloudy.
So rainy and windy this morning. In the afternoon went shopping. Six
months have already passed since this year began. How fast time flies!
