□My 3-sentence Diary
ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last thing I want to doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong, sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
　3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

　At night the temperature plunged. On my way home I was freezing. I thought I would not make it back home. Today's explanation meeting about the entrance exam was too long. Two hours.

　Today's graduation ceremony lasted for one and a half hours. Too long. There was an unnecessary part in the ceremony. There was a colleague who studied Korean together, and she is retiring this March, so we had a little dinner party in honor of her in the vicinity of the workplace. I was in charge. This morning I bought a bouquet for her. There were six of us. It was a nice get-together.

　I usually do not take the pain reliever even if I am in pain, but when the pain is too much, I have no other choice. Today I kind of vacillated. I decided not to take the medication. As long as I can sleep, I won't. Tomorrow a commencement will be held at school in the afternoon. In the evening there will be a party for a colleague who is to retire but may get reemployed.

　It was quite cold today. At work two of the other English teachers were absent. Only I was there after 5:00 p.m. Yesterday was a meeting day as usual. The day before yesterdat was the massage day. And on Tuesday was a workday.

　Rather busy this morning at home. At work not too busy. Spent some time making an assignment for the next school year.

　It has been such a long and tiring day today. I inteviewed 55 examinees in all. This is sort of volunteer work now. Well, I am almost a volunteer interviewer.

　Because of the wet weather stayed all day at home. Tomorrow have to leave early for STEP. It is going to be a long and hard day.

　At work we had the so-called graduation approval meeting, which lasted for one and a half hours. Too long. I was not paying attention. It is half ritualized.

　At work attended two meetings as is often the case on Thursday. On the way home got a haircut and also bought something for supper. Called back my sis.

　Been to the usual massage, and bought some raw fish for lunch. It began raining when I was about to go out late in the afternoon. These days I spend most of my time with the radio on. There are no so many interesting TV programs. I seldom watch TV. I like NHK's Bura Tamori, though.

　Yesterday and today busy getting ready to go to the tax office. I used eTax for the first time and took the printout to the office.

　It was stormy all night. I was fast asleep, so I was not aware of it. Today at work I had not much to do. None came as I expected.

　Walked briskly in the park this morning for 40 minutes or so. There were quite a few people there. My wife has almost got over the cold. I am feeling old. Have I caught it from her?

　At work waited but none came for their sign-up just as I expected. I will wait anyway. At home went to the park in the morning and did my walk as usual.

Thursday, February 11, 2016 Fair

　My wife is down with a cold or the flu. She has to go see the doctor tomorrow anyway. Yesterday I was down and out-not a cold, though.

　At work waited for some students to come for their sign-up. Just one of them gave me a ring. By the time I hit the road, the fifth floor was deserted.

Monday, February 8, 2016 Fair

　At work four homeroom students came for their sign-up. I helped them with it. Finished reading a library book. This morning I did my daily brisk walking in the park for 40 minutes or so. I am like a Kindai tuna which keeps moving while alive.

Sunday, February 7, 2016 Fair

　My wife took her mother,93 years old, to a theater for the last time. The grandma is now too weak to go out. I am declining in health, too. Pain is getting sharper. Now it is a matter of time.

　This afternoon walked together with my wife in the park for an hour or so. It was sunny but cold. Yesterday we English teachers got together at work and discussed this and that.

　At work attended two meetings. At night took a brist walk alone since my wife had a pain in her leg. Yes, we are aging.

　Been to my home doctor today. He said something different, and I decided to wait and see for the time being. I will walk though, instead of jogging.

Tuesdday, February 2, 2016 Fair

　I saw the doctor at the hospital. He advised me to walk instead of jogging for my neck. From tomorrow on I will walk.

　It is February already. The year 2016 seems to be flying. Yesterday was a workday. I helped several homeroom students sign up for this coming school year. Today was the deadline for this school year. I helped some students who came at the last minute. It was rather tiring.
