ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

At work just gave a student a makeup and helped another with his English.
The rest were just odds and ends.

Reported for work early in the morning. Some students came for their
makeups. I marked the exam papers and inputted the results. A student came
to see me, and I helped him with his English.
Saturday, October 29, 2016 Cloudy
Did nothing in particular. Just the usual morning slow jog and neck traction
at the usual clinic. Tomorrow is a workday. I have to read a lot. Checked
out two library books today.
Friday, October 28, 2016 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
Right before leaving for home, a student came and asked me to translate
some Japanese sentences into English. I do not teach that student, though.
I was not so willing to do that because I was in a hurry, but I had no
choice. Nowadays, students are always right. Teachers are educational 'slaves'
in a way.

Did my morning slow jog as usual. At work just attended two meetings.
One was for Student Council and the other was a kind of information meeting.
Bought something to eat for supper on the way home.

These days I do my morning slow jog a little after nine in the morning.
Almost always I can hog the park ground. For around 40 minutes I just jog
slowly, thinking about this and that. I sweat a little after 15 laps or
so. I do 25 laps usually. It is a small ground. Maybe this is the best
time of the day for me. So refreshing.
Tuesday, October 25, 2016 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
Had to protect the cable TV modem from the two cats. They jump on it
and it is likely to be wrecked by them. Anyway we have solved the problem.
Had to show the new health insurace card to the clinic because it had not
been issued yet the last time I went there.

At work first on parking lot duty and then on duty in the teachers' room.
Also got a graduate's transcript ready. Spent some time reading books,
too. The temperature plummeted at night.

Two exams to invigilate. During the break did a slow jog in the nearby
park. On the way home, bought something to eat for supper. I worked extra
today, for a student came and asked for my help. Also a graduate came and
asked me for a transcript.
Saturday, October 22, 2016 Fair
I did a slow jog in the morning as usual. Yesterday read again a book
on slow jogging and realized the importance of being a jogger. It is a
lot easier for people to jog slowly than to walk slowly.
Friday, October 21, 2016 Fair
At 2:07 p.m. there was a big earthquake. The epicenter was in Tottori,
but it was quite extensive. I was on the fifth floor of the school building
then. I felt as if the whole structure might collapse.
Thursday, October 20, 2016 Cloudy
Rather hot but got windy later. Dropped by the library on the way to
and from work. The historical novel I am reading now turned out to be more
interesting than I had thought.
Wednesday, October 19, 2016 Overcast
Went to the hospital as usual. On the way home, dropped in at the barbershop
near the station. Today I am going to watch a Korean drama starring Che
jiu. That is fun.
Tuesday, October 18, 2016 Overcast
There are some fragrant orange-colored olives in the park. They smell
sweet now. Before my morning slow jog, the smell wafted all around me.
At work, listened to a lot of English.
Monday, October 17, 2016 Fair
Last night it rained a lot and the park ground was rather muddy, so I
jogged slowly along the pavement. At work worked at my own pace.
Sunday, October 16, 2016 Cloudy
Been to a certain meeting at Temmabashi. Today's lecturer was good. Cannot
work as a STEP examiner in November because the day falls on a workday.
Saturday, October 15, 2016 Fair
Morning slow jog, viewed a video recording or two, neck traction, and
a long afternoon nap. Our secon son came back from Tokyo last night to
attend his friend's wedding in Kyoto, which is to take place tomorrow.

Autumn is deepening into winter. Today is the last schooling day of the
second term. The tests will be given soon. Corrected quite a few reports.

It was rather chilly today, so I took a thin jacket with me. It came
in handy anyway. Today is my 64th birthday. We decided not to buy a birthday
cake becasue it is fattening.
Wednesday, October 12, 2016 Fair
The temperature dropped sharply today. Yesterday, too, it was rather
chilly. Nowadays we have no autumn in this counrty. Not only the quality
of life but also the climate has drastically changed.
Tuesday, October 11, 2016 Fair
A workday. Leaving for work at the usual time, that is, at about a quarter
to one in the afternoon, I will be back home around ten thirty at night.
So I did as usual. It has been a long day.
Monday, October 10, 2016 Fair
A little after nine in the morning, went to the usual park for my daily
slow jog. There were some people getting exercise. The weather was nice.
Spent quite some time watching video recordings.
Sunday, October 9, 2016 Rainy, cloudy and then fair.
Been to my mother's place. She was doing OK, and so was my sis. I gave
my mother a couple of presents. I went by a different route than usual.
We chatted a lot as usual.

Viewed some video recordings. I cannot find any mistakes in my Super
Crossword answers but the author says there is something wrong, so I will
give up this time.
Friday, October 7, 2016 Cloudy and still hot.
At work the temperature exceeded 30 degrees Celsius. One daytime English
teacher was absent, so I helped some daytime students instead. Quite hectic.
Thursday, October 6, 2016 Cloudy
No meetings at all at work, which is usually normal for reemployed teachers.
I prepared handouts for the third term, took out the trash, read a book,
and so on. On the way home, I bought something to eat for supper.
Wednesday, October 5, 2016 Cloudy and windy.
Typhoon No. 18 is about to change into a low pressure system. It is rather
windy here now. Today viewed quite a few video recordings and also listened
to the iPod.

Yesterday just one class to teach-Communication Enlglish Ⅱ. The students
are OK compared with those of Basic English. The athletic meeting was held
yesterday, and I got the feeling that things have changed at school. So
have people.

Yesterday went to work to prepare for our Sports Day. Today it was cloudy
in the morning, but the weather did not worsen. The temperature was around
32 degrees Celsius. Crazy.
