ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

Yesterday I heard a colleague say that a student said something about
me., and it was not true. Some students lie. Today at work there was a
human rights session. This time it was about workplace harassment. It was
not worth attending. There are some bosses who are harassers.
Tuesday, August 29, 2017 Fair
Early this morning North Korea launched another missile, which landed
somewhere in the sea so close to Hokkaido. This may help the current government
revise the Constitution.
Monday, August 28, 2017 Cloudy
Day 1 of the second term. Rather busy doing this and that. Some procrastinators
came over to the English Interview Room. There will be more to come. By
and large, daytime students are too shy or negative. It is by no means
easy to encourage them. Before that, I get discouraged by their apathy.
Sunday, August 27, 2017 Fair
Viewed some video recordings on and off. The most impressive one was
a movie entitled "Still Life." Tomorrow is the first day of the
second term. Have to stay at work until 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 26, 2017 Rainy, cloudy, and then fine.
Went to the hospital in the morning and to the dentist's in the afternoon.
On the way home bought something for supper. Tonight it is a lot less muggy.
Good. I weeded the backyard a bit and cleaned the balcony. Also wiped the
floor.
Friday, August 25, 2017 Fair
Yesterday attended two meetings at worrk. The first one was OK anyway,
but the second one, a regular meeting emceed by the bosses, was gibberish.
Sick and tired of such meetings. Today is the last day in summer holiday
mode for me. Next week the second term is starting and I am back to normal.
Wednesday, August 23, 2017 Fair
A workday. Called the dentist's office first thing in the morning and
made an appointment for 5:30 p.m. There is something wrong. At work, had
to get another transcript ready. Some more extra work. After that, back
to English-related work. That's where I belong.. On the way home, dropped
by the library and then by the dentist's office. Then bought something
for supper.
Tuesday, August 22, 2017 Cloudy
So humid this evening. Turned on the AC. Got to take a shower again.
My skin is so sticky.
Monday, August 21, 2017 Fair
Staying away from work for ten straight days, I went to work today, taking
three hours off anyway. At work, made a set of worksheets and sent midsummer
greetings to my homeroom students after correcting some reports.
Sunday, August 20, 2017 Mostly fair.
I have to return this library book first thing in the morning tomorrow.
I thought I would get an extension on it, but I forgot to do that. My 10-day-long
summer vacation is over today.
Saturday, August 19, 2017 Cloudy and then fair.
It was so hot and humid last night I could hardly sleep, so I did not
feel up to going jogging this morning. Viewed the moview "The Giver"
on TV.
Friday, August 18, 2017 Cloudy and then fair.
This time in Spain. There seems to be no end to terror attacks in the
world. Beofre the Internet came into full use, there were fewer such incidents,
but due to the quick spread of news and information, including religious
beliefs over the Internet, things have drastically changed.
Thursdat, August 17, 2017 Cloudy
At home spent a lot of time just watching some movies on TV. They are
not new. They belong to the museum. So do the stars in them.
Wedensday, August 16, 2017 Mainy fair.
After my rourine slow jogging in the park, took a shower and went to
the hospital for neck traction. On the way home, dropped by the library
to return three books and did a little shopping for lunch.
Tuesday, August 15, 2017 Mostly rainy.
No morning jogging due to the rain. It hass gotten humid again. In no
mood to do anything.
Monday, August 14, 2017 Cloudy
Did my usual morning slow jo. Then took a shower and went shopping for
cat and human hood. Took it easy all day. My wife is under the weather
all day today.
Sunday, August 13, 2017 Fair
Visited Dad's grave with my sister and my mother early in the morning.
Then went to a restaurant and drank coffee. Ate lunch together and back
home before 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 12, 2017 Cloudy and then fine.
Returned some library books and checked out one. Finished reading a book
on Adler. It is less muggy today than yesterday.
Friday, August 11, 2017 Mostly sunny.
Yesterday at work on the list to do things, preparing a transcript for
a homeroom student was first up. It was such a hassle. The way it is done
is different than before. I was not able to do what I wanted to. From today
through August 20 is my summer vacation.
Wednesday, August 9, 2017 Mostly cloudy.
Took a homeroom student to a pay nursing home. This student is interested
in working there. That's why she wanted to go there. They gave us an overall
explanation of the facility and also gave us the grand tour.
Tuesdat, August 8, 2017 Cloudy, occasona rainy, and then fine.
Jogging slowly in the park early in the morning as usual. In the morning
off to the hospital for neck traction and then to the usual clinic. Toward
the evening went to see the usual dentist. Quite busy going out.
Monday, August 7, 2017 Vo very rainy.
Typhoon No.5 has brought a lot of rain. The wind itself was not much,
though. I stayed away from work. I made a phone call to the school anyway.
Sunday, August 6, 2017 Fair and then cloudy.
It got rather windy toword the evening. The typhoon is likely to hit
our area tomorrow. If so, I need to take a day off. I still have aa few
substitute holidays I haven't used as yet. Today was quite muggy, too.
So tiring weather.
Saturday, August 5, 2017 Fair and cloudy, occasionally rainy.
So hot and humid today. I keep sweating even while just sitting still.
Viewed some video recordings. Typhoon No. 5 is coming up this way.
Friday, August 4, 2017 Fair
Yesterday there were two meetings to attend. In the meantime, I contancted
the homeroom student in question., arranging for her to visit the mursing
home she has in mind for her possible future career. Today made some worksheets
for the second term and also prepared something to send to the homeroom
students on August 21.
Wednesday, Ausust 2, 2017 Fair
At work sent the first-term results to the homeroom students. Took care
of my summer class. Kept calling a homeroom student all day in vain. The
career guidance department put me in charge,
Tuesday, August 1, 2017 Cloudy
So hot during the day I just lay down and rested. Late in the afternoon
called the clinic I visited last Tueday to hear the biopsy results. Nothing
wrong was the answer. Off to the hospital for neck traction in the evening.
Tonight they are holding a big display of fireworks at PL.
