ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

Also today a boy and his father were doing batting practice-no the same
ones that I med yesterday. Viewed some video recordings at home. Although
I wanted to return the library books, the library was not accessible today.
I was not allowed in and near that place. The elevator did not stop on
that floor and I was not able to use the escalator, either.
Saturdaym Decemger 30, 2017
While jogging slowly this morning in the park, there appeared a boy and
his father doing batting practice. Finished reading Bertrand Russell's
Conquest of Happiness, whose English was so old and hard I had a hard time reading it.
Friday, December 29, 207 Fair
Our first-born son and his family are gone-calm after the storm. I did
my morning routine as usual. I decided to remove the wooden cushion underneath
my futon. That is now old and seems to have lost its springiness, which
is not good for my back.
Thusday, December 28, 2017 Cloudy
Today was the last workday of the year. Just did some cleaning. There
was no one elas in the English interview room. While handling sheets of
paper, I got a sharp cut in my hand. It hurt when I washed my hands. On
the way home, went shopping at two different places. Back home I found
my first-born son and his family. They are staying overnight.
Wednesday, December 29, 2017 Cloudy and windy.
Went to work after my morning routine. At work prepared for the sign-up
assistance period. The first phase is almost done. Tomorrow is the last
workday of the year for me. On the way home bought something for supper
since my wife was busy cleaning at the last minute because tomorrow our
first-born son's family are coming to see us.
Tuesday, December 26, 2017 Cloudy
I still feel some discomfort on the right lower back. I wonder where
it comes from. Hope it is nothing serious. Bought a new bike because the
old one's chain came off once in a while. Then went to the clinic for neck
traction in the morning. Toward the evening off to the dentist. Decided
to put the computer keyboard on my lap.
Monday, December 25, 2017 Cloudy
At work continued with the sign-up assistance preparations. Today checked
nine students' data. So far 15 students are done.
Sunday, December 24, 2017 Cloudy
Cleaned up at home almost as planned. This week our first-born son and
his family are coming. It is always like this-at the last minute. My wife
will have to clean where she sleeps. So messy.
Saturday, December 23, 2017 Fair
Went to the park in the morning, but there were a father and his son
practicing baseball although it is prohibited there. At a time like this,
I walk around the park and pick up litter, and so I did.
Friday, December 22, 2017 Fair
Went to the orthopedic hospital for neck traction first thing in the
morning. On the way home jogged slowly for 15 minutes or so in the park.
At work my sign-up assistance preparations continue. Took three hours off
and hit the road. Did some shopping at the usual supermarket. Back home
my wife is absorbed in playing her games as always.
Thursday, December 21,2017 Fair
Did a little reading on my way to and back from work. At work started
preparing for the sign-up assistance period in January and February.
Wednesday, December 20, 2017 Fair
At work did some cleaning, corrected a few reports, and printed out some
pages of my online diary. Took three hours and was on the way home. Bought
takoyaki along the way.
Tuesday, December 19, 2017 Cloudy and then fine.
Early this morning went to the usual clinic to have samples of my blood
and urine taken and also had an abdominal untrasound exam. Back home ate
breakfast and off to the hospital for neck traction. On the way home did
a little shopping. Toward the evening set the new bookcase in my study.
Monday, December 18, 2017 Fair
At work , as an English teacher, I taught my last class. Although the
audience was not too large, participation was not bad. At long last, some
students came to read aloud in class. At any rate, I am glad that it is
over.
Sunday, December 17, 2017 Cloudy
Jogged slowly as usual in the morning. Although hitting a ball is prohibited
there, some people ignore the rules. At home began rearranging the living
room and another room. Still in the process, though. Tomorrow is a workday
and my last class at that school. I am glad iti is going to be over. Those
students are too difficult or almost impossible to teach English-little
readiness.

Just the usual slow jog and neck traction in the morning. Did some shopping
on the way home as usual. We do not use the gas heater yet although it
is quite cold at night.
Friday, December 15, 2017 Fair
No class to teach at work. Just printed the exam papers, put them into
envelopes, and put them away. Decided to take three hours off from today
on.
Thursday, December 14, 2017 Cloudy
Attended two staff meetings. Quite boring. Bought something to eat for
supper on the way home as usual. At work sent something to two homeroom
graduating students.
Wednesday, December 13, 2017 Cloudy
So cold at work after dark. Taught the very last Communication English
Ⅱclass. The students were the same as ever. In the fourth period, I had
Homeroom. Just a few were present. I do not know why, but I got so exhausted
after school.
Tuesday, December 12, 2017 Cloudy
It was quite cold and windy this morning. In spite of the old wind, I
jogged slowly as usual and then biked to the usual clinic. On the way home
dropped by another to get the usual medication. Back home ate lunch and
took a long afternoon nap.
Monday, December 11, 2017 Cloudy
Went to the nearby supermarket to buy cat food. It is 20 percent off
today. On the way home, suddenly it began to rain. At work taught in the
second period. Today their participation was OK. although there were not
too many of them present.
Sunday, December 10, 2017 Sunny and then cloudy.
Did my routine exercises except the radio exercises because it is Sunday
today. Then Went to the park to jog slowy and clean the place with my pair
of tongs. 40 minutes' slow jogging as usual and got back home. Late in
the afternoon went to the usual supermarket. It is getting rather cold
even inside.
Saturday, December 9, 2017 Rainy and then cloudy.
Walked in the park and jogged slowly a bit although it was raining at
first. Then off to the clinic for neck traction. Did some shopping and
got back home. Took it easy for the rest of the day.
Friday, December 8, 2017 Rainy and then cloudy.
Just taught in the second and fourth periods. Took care of two of the
graduating students who belong to my homeroom.
Thursday, December 7, 2017 Fair
I felt a bit of nausea all day. It may be due to the worsening neck illness.
I need to brace my legs as I walk or stand where I am.
Wednesday, December 6, 2017 Fair
Just taught in the third period. Corrected some 'reports.' Also did some
'slow jogging' during the evening break. Called a homeroom student, reminding
her of the Inclusive class on Friday.
Tuesday, December 5, 2017 Cloudy
It has been a cold day. Saw my family doctor in the morning and in the
evening went by bike to the clinic for neck traction though it was cold
and windy. Talked to the doctor about the dizziness which started to be
in evidence recently.
Monday, Decemger 4, 2017 Cloudy
These days maybe due to my neck illness, I often feel dizzy and tipsy.
I try to walk carefully. My wife is unaware of this. But I might find it
difficult to walk soon. I am ill and aged. By the way, on my way to work
today, I ran into an old colleague of mine, who is no longer a public high
school teacher, though. We chatted along the way.

The school festival is over. In the afternoon the auditorium was full.
I wondered why that was. Usually it was not that full. Nowadays, the quality
of students must have changed a lot.
Saturday, December 2, 2017 Fair
A workday. Helped prepare for tomorrow's school festival. Tried to contact
the homeroom student in the question, but couldn't. I am afraid this one
is going to give me a hard time later.
Friday, December 1, 2017 Fair
At work taught in the first period. As usual, I found it boring to teach
them. They are not motivated at all. Two homeroom kids came see me because
they had problems. I kept calling the problem kid in vain today, too.
