ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

Took a walk in the park with Mom. Late in the afternoon my wife and I
went out to buy a TV set for Mom.
Monday, February 27, 2017 Fair
There was an extra staff meeting at work. An audit student, who is an
elderly lady, came to our room and kept talking for over an hour. She is
very smart.
Sunday, February 26, 2017 Fair
Just four graduating homeroom students out of seven attended the graduation
ceremony, which lasted for about one and a half hours. The whole thing
ended a little before three for my class. Then I inputted data for those
graduationg homeroom students and also handed in their school records.
I returned the homeroom class money and the career survey for the graduationg
students.
Saturday, February 25, 2017 Fair
My mom came here to live with us this time for a week or so. She is practicing
living with us. She is new here and looks a bit nervous. She is now a bit
senile.
Friday, February 24, 2017 Cloudy
Helped a homeroom student sign up for the coming school year. There is
going to be a graduation ceremony the day after tomorrow. I hit the road
after feeling prepared for that.
Thursday, February 23, 2017 Cloudy
At work there were two meetings. Next school year I will belong to the
daytime section. Back home again cleaned out lots of stuff and put the
rooms in order. Much hassle.
Wednesday, February 22, 2017 Sunny and rainy, occasionally cloudy.
In the morning rode my bike to the nearest do-it-yourself center to buy
a board, covering the part under the window sill in Mom's room. In the
evening moved the folding desk to the smallest room, originally my study.
Then I decided to dispose of all my past teaching plans. Also so many video
cassettes, CDs, and cassettes. At the end of the day I found myself dog-tired.
Tuesday, February 21, 2017 Cloudy
Went to the tax office to file my tax return and on the way home paid
the tax at the usual post office-quite a lot because I did not get much
of a deduction on medical expenses this time. I had to give my national
ID number and also show my ID, that is, either my social security card
or my driver's license.
Monday, February 20, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy and windy like a typhoon.
The usual express train was delayed and I was late for work. Told the
boss what happened, but as I expected, he would not listen. Besides the
school gate was locked. I could not get in. Again I told him so, but he
did not listen. What a school!
Sunday, February 19, 2017 Cloudy
It was a pretty cold morning and it was also so cold while working as
a STEP examiner. Interviewed 53 examinees in all. Exhausted. I have worked
as a STEP inteterviewer for 37 years or so and I have to retire at the
age of 65, which means this may have been my last STEP interview examination.

Having a headache, I will go to bed right away although I will have to
work as a STEP inteviewer tomorrow
Friday, February 17, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
At work handed in the last three papers. There was a call from a homeroom
student. He wants to sign up for the next adacemic year. He is coming in
a week.
Thursday, February 16, 2017 Fair
By and large, it was rather warm today, but after dark it got pretty
cold. Mom is coming on the 25th, staying with us for a couple of days,
to begin with. My wife will take her around the neighborhood. At work there
was a graduation approval meeting, after which I sent commencement invitations
to my homeroom graduationg students.
Wednesday, February 15, 2017 Fair and rather warm.
Jogged, ate lunch, off to the clinic and the pharmacy, and then to work.
At work, a homeroom student came earlier than I thought. She had not been
given adequate info on how to get along at school. I wonder what her former
homeroom teachers were doing.
Tuesday, February 14, 2017 Cloudy and really cold.
Rode my bike to the hospital for neck traction. A cold wind was blowing
againt me. Tomorrow is originally an off day, but I will have to go to
work because a homeroom kid is available for her sign-up only tomorrow.
Monday, February 13, 2017 Mostly cloudy and quite cold.
Intended to have taken two hours off, but a homeroom student showed up
at the last minute. Therefore, took just one hour off.
Sunday, February 12, 2017 Cloudy and so very cold.
Reported for work early in the morning. Three homeroom students came
for their sign-up. I called two homeroom students. One answered and the
other did not. On the way home made a stopover and did some shopping. Bought
something for supper at the usual supermarket.
Saturday, February 11, 2017 Cloudy, cold and windy.
Still trying to put the same room in order. Went out with my wife to
buy some stuff necessary for mending this and that. It is such hassle I
am already exhausted. Yesterday at work a homeroom student came at the
last moment, so I could not take an hour off. Tomorrow is a workday.
Thursday, February 9, 2017 Rainy and then cloudy.
A cold and dreary day., the worst kind of weather to me. At work just
two meetings to attend. That was it. Back home watched some video recordings.
Wednesday, February 8, 2017 Cloudy
Still putting the same room in order. Mainly my wife is doing it. Went
to the dentist late in the afternoon. Tomorrow is a workday.
Tuesday, February 7, 2017 Cloudy
Today and tomorrow are off days. This morning it was a lot less windy
than yesterday, so I could jog comfrotably for 40 minutes. Then finished
the Super Crossword. Toward the evening off to the hospital.
Monday, February 6, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
It was so very freezing today. While Jogging in the park, it was so windy
and cold I just ran for 30 minutes this morning. Yesterday I watched a
certain Korean drama for over five hours while helping my wife organizing
the room Mom is going to use soon. As a result, maybe, I was scatterbrained
at work today.

In the process of putting one of the rooms in order so that my mother
can move in. We are going to have two mothers here at home. My sister can
no longer take care of her.
Saturday, February 4, 2017 Cloudy
Jogged slowly for 40 minutes or so in the park in the morning. Then off
to the hospital as usual for neck traction. Saw my doc today. Saw some
dramas in the evening with my wife, so absorbed that we forgot about eating
supper.
Friday, February 3, 2017 Cloudy
Not much work to do today, so took four hours off and was on the way
back.
Thursday, February 2, 2017 Cloudy
At work did some cleaning. On the way home made a stopover and did some
shopping. Got a letter from the tax office. About time for income tax returns.
Wednesday, February 1, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
A workday. At night it was so cold even on the corridors at work. Today
was the deadline for this school year. Some students came and I helped
them. That was it.
