ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

Tuesday, January 31, 2017 Cloudy
My wife went to see my sis. My mother is also going to live with us here
in our place soon. So, there will be three grannies, including my wife,
and one old man, me.
Monday, January 30, 2017 Mostly cloudy, occasionally rainy.
My usual trains were delayed because of an accident involving injury
or death. The homeward-bound train was jam-packed and I head passengers
coughing here and there. On the platform, while waiting for the next train,
made phone calls to my wife and sis.
Sunday, January 29, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
A workday. Only a couple of students came. Also had a couple of phone
calls. But kept rather busy all day. Felt tired at the end of the day.
Bought something for supper on the way home as usual.
Saturday, January 28, 2017 Cloudy
Went to the hospital and found that there were new traction machines.
Tried one of them. I like the old ones. On the way home dropped by the
usual supermarket and bought something for supper.
Friday, January 27, 2017 Fair
I found a mistake in the past data at school. It has been corrected.
No one wants to take their trouble of checking the original complicated
data, but if it is not done, it might put students at a disadvantage. It
should be avoided. Although it was much hassle, I did it anyway. Got an
email from STEP. I will work as a STEP examiner next month alhtough it
is much hassle.
Thursday, January 26, 2017 Sunny and then overcast.
Went to the usual barbershop before going to work. Got to work earlier
than usual. Could take time to eat lunch. Then attended two meetings as
usual. Double-checking the sheets I prepared for the so-called sign-up
assistance period. On the way home dropped by the library. Bought something
for supper at the usual supermarket.
Wednesday, January 25, 2017 Fair
At work sent the interim grades to my homeroom students. Kept moderately
busy. Back home took a bath not a shower, for the first time in many days.
That was relaxing.
Tuesday, January 24, 2017 Cloudy and sleety.
I will have to go to work tomorrow although it is an off-day, because
I have something urgent to do. I will have to get a haircut, too, one of
these days.
Monday, January 23, 2017 Cloud and cold.
Almost finished preparing for the sign-up assistance period. Gave a student
a makeup and another a retest. On the way home late at night bought some
cat food at the usual supermarket.
Sunday, January 22, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
Reported for work early in the morning after taking a shower. Gave a
student a makeup and continued to prepare for the so-called sign-up asssitance
period. Took care of 11 students' cases.
Saturday, January 21, 2017 Cloudy
A cloudy and dreary day. Too cold to take a shower. Just a lazy weekend.
Friday, January 20, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy and sovery windy.
Wrote to 33 of the homeroom students to let them know when to come to
school for their sign-up procedure. It took me over two hours to do that.
Some students came for their makeups or retests. Took two hours off and
was on the way home. It was so windy outside I felt as if I would collapse
because of the strong wind. The wind was howling.
Thursday, January 19, 2017 Cloudy
At work there was an information meeting for the coming sign-up assistance
period. Their explanation was almost the same as ever. I will have to prepare
for that little by little from tomorrow on.
Wednesday, January 18, 2017 Cloudy
Went to see my family doctor as usual-once a month after going slow jogging
and taking a shower. Viewed some video recordings and read several books.

I would rather go out than stay at home, so I went out twice today, too.
Husbands should not be at home in order to live in harmony at home.

Rather busy dealing with students who came to see the other two teachers
in the same room because one was absent and the orhter came late. Called
a company for a homeroom student. Had an interview with the boss. Boss
interviews are usually discouraging. No wonder there are fewer young people
who want to be teachers.
Sunday, January 15, 2017 Cloudy
Went to work in this freezing weather early in the morning. On parking
lot duty in the afternoon. So very cold outside. Proctored one exam late
in the afternoon.
Saturday, January 14, 2017 Sunny but windy and cold.
Decided not to go to the hospital because the wind was so strong that
it could be dangerous to ride my bike there. At home watched a lot of videos
and TV. Tomorrow is a workday, but it is going to be so cold I think I
will take an hour off in the morning.
Friday, January 13, 2017 Cloudy
A little before I was about to leave for home, taking two hours off,
somebody came up to me and left some work to me. Anyway I told him what
I was going to do and did it right away. I got the feeling that I was cleaning
up somebody else's mess for them.

A workday. Corrected some reports and marked some exam papers. There
was a lecture on LGBT for teachers.
Wednesday, January 11, 2017 Cloudy
I did not feel like doing anything today. at home. My lazy day. Yesterday
I worked a lot. Kind of reactionary.

Went to work. Handed in the so-called dependent slip and the final Assess-Nurture
System report. Printed out the first-term C English Ⅱreport for 2017.
A graduating homeroom kid came to see me.

I seem to be the kind of person who needs to plan beforehand before I
do anything. I usually make what I call "mini plans." I can get
more satisfaction that way.That is why ひとり学習 fits me.
Sunday, January 8, 2017 Rainy
A rainy day, so walked under an umbrella in the park for 20 minutes or
so. Went shopping for supper because my wife was feeling under the weather.
Hope the weather will improve tomorrow, believing that rainy days never
stay.
Saturday, January 7, 2017 Fair
Slow jogging, taking a shower, and off to the usual neck traction. Late
in the afternoon went to the library to return a library book and check
out one. Then viewed some video recordings.
Friday, January 6, 2017 Cloudy
Today's staff meeting lasted for over two hours. Then we cleaned the
classrooms for the coming final exams. A graduting homeroom student came
for her transcript.
Thursday, January 5, 2017, Cloudy
The first workday of the year. New Year's greetings first thing at work.
Had a call from a homeroom student and got her transcript ready. Preparing
little by little for the sign-up assistance period. Sent letters to four
graduationg homeroom students.
Wednesday, January 4, 2017 Fair
Did my morning super slow jog after nine in the morning and off to the
hospital toward the evening. Glad that the first three days of the New
Year are over. Back to normal now. Tomorrow is a workday.
Tuesday, January 3, 2017 Fair
Jogged super slowly-slower than walking- as usual. Went to see Mom ans
sis with our second son and his wife. I was supposed to lead the way, but
I made a mistake, wasting 40 minutes or so. Anyway we talked a lot along
the way, though. They went to see Grandma's sister and ate dinner together.
I spent some time at Mom's place. On the way home, I bought some cat food
and human food.
Monday, January 2, 2017 Cloudy
Had a quarrel with my wife over her grandmother going out by train. I
said that it might be necessary to make a phone call to the station because
she is on a wheelchair, thinking to myself that it was going to be much
hassle. We did not see eye to eye. At this time of the year trains and
places are crowded. I said, "Ask your mother if she wants to go out."
Then she said, "Then I won't take her out." I did not mean that
she should not take her out.

Although I would rather not write New Year's cards, I have written back
to those who have sent me one.
