ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

Tuesday, October 31, 2017 Fair
It was rather cold today, which means my blood pressure will go up. Went
to the clinic in the evening to get the papers. This morning they were
not ready yet, which spoiled my plans for today.
Monday, October 30, 2017 Cloudy, more or less.
The second day for makeups and retests. Did what I was supposed to do
as uaual and took one hour off and hit the road as usual. Bought some cat
food and human food at the usual supermarket.
Sunday, October 29, 2017 Rainy, and then cloudy later on.
Around noon went out to buy something for lunch at the usual supermarket
despite the rain and wind before it started raining really hard, but anyway
my umbrella was almost blown inside out several times on the way to and
back from the place. In no mood to do anything in particular.
Saturday, October 28, 2017 Rainy, occasionally cloudy.
Another typoon is coming up here again, so tomorrow wiill be a stormy
day all day. This autumn has been so rainy this year. Today I saw my doc
at the clinic, asking him to fill in a certain form. He is so nice and
cooperative as ever.
Friday, October 27, 2017 Cloudy
At work gove some students makeups or retests. I just marked several
exam papers and corrected some reports. Made some handouts for the thrid
term and did some printing, too.
Thursday, October 26, 2017 Fair
At work just one meeting to attend. No worth attending, though. As usual,
it is just a one-way meeting. Schools, including both teachers and students,
are now being militarized. People just obey orders. Obedinece is the name
of the game.
Wednesday, October 25, 2017 Fair
Jogged in the park in the morning although the place was a bit wet. At
work worked almsot as planned, taking an hour off.
Tuesday, October 24, 2017 Fair, cloudy, and then rainy.
Pretty busy running aroung. First neck traction, then called the ward
office, visited there later, and finally off to the dentist. This morning
jogged in the park comfortably.
Monday, October 23, 2017 Cloudy
The typhoon is gone but one of the three railwaylines was at a standstill,
so I went to work by a different route without using my commuter pass-at
my own expense. At work invigilated the C English Ⅱtest and finished marking
the exam papers later. I had to check some reports as well as usual.
Sunday, October 22, 2017 Rainy and windy.
Went to the polls early in the morning becasue a big-scale typhoon coming
up this way. Could not go to a meeting, so I emailed to them. I had a reply
from the one in charge. I talked with him over the phone, too. It was nice
of him.
Saturday, October 21, 2017 Rainy
It being rainy today, no gpomg out. Too bad. I should have gone out under
an umbrella. At home I had to attend to the two pretty and pesky cats.
Friday, October 20, 2017 Rainy, occasionally cloudy.
Day 2 of the second-term exams. Marked the Korean exm papers as well
and sent back all the exam papers after inputting the results into the
computer file. On duty twice today-in the teachers' room and at the school
gate. Fortunately it was not raining then. Made a set of handouts for the
3rd term. At home walked in the park for 30 minutes or so as the playground
was too wet.
Thusday, October 19, 2017 Rainy and then cloudy.
At work there was a meeting where we teachers exchange information. I
finished marking the Basic English exam papers. Tomorrow I will mark the
Korean exam papers.
Wednesday, October 18, 2017 Cloudy and then rainy.
Jogged slowly this morning in the park. At work invigilated in the third
period and on parking lot duty later. Corrected dozens of reports.
Tuesday, October 17, 2017 Rainy and then cloudy.
This afternoon after it stopped raining, biked to the ward office to
get three certifricates issued-my wife's income certificate, a certificate
of residence, and a copy of my family register. Then went to the post office
to see how much the weight of the envelope cost. I had to pay 10 extra
yen (32 grams, so 92 yen). Then a little later off to the clinic for neck
traction.
Monday, October 16, 2017 Rainy
There wass a pension-related survey on my spouse. I sent the paper to
them anyway today. Red tape after red tape. This seems to be a kind of
harassment to the aged.
Sunday, October 15, 2017 Rainy
It rained all day toady. The temperature dropped suddenly. No slow jogging.
No going out. Just saw a Korean drama starring Che jiu.
Saturday, October 14, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
This morning ran in the new jogging shoes my kids gave me for my birthday.
They are good for jogging. Went to the clinic for neck traction and on
the way home did some shopping for lunch and supper. Spent some time reading,
too.
Friday, October 13, 2017 Cloudy
At work made a set of handouts and did some cleaning. Took three hours
off. Today being my birthday, my two sons sent me a pair of jogging shoes,
two T-shirts, and a box of chocolate-covered macadamia nuts.
Thursday, October 12, 2017, 2017 Cloudy
Yesterday at work taught the last Basic English class for the second
term. The classroom was full and the temperature was around 30 degrees
Celsius. Today there was a training workshop for coping with suspicious
individuals by using the so-called 'sasumata( two-pronged metal weapons).
Tuesday, October 10, 2017 Fair
Did nothing in particlur yesterday except putting the closet in order.
Today did the usual neck traction at the usual clinic and then went to
see my family doctor to get the usual medicine.

I heard the noise of the festival in town on and off all day. Only part
of the town seeded in a festive mood. I just did my daily routine.
Saturday, October 7, 2017 Rainy, occasionally cloudy.
Just neck traction at the same clinic and then shopping at the usual
supermarket. Viewed a few video recordings. That was it.
Friday, October 6, 2017 Cloudy, raining on and off.
Could jog when it stopped raining. Taught in the second period. Participation
was not much. Took one hour off and took off. Back home, relaxed in front
of my computer as usual.
Thursday, October 5, 2017 Cloudy
At work two meetings to attend. The second one was sickening with one
of the bosses emceeing. A power harasser. with a fake facade, actually
haughty by nature.
Wednesday, October 4, 2017 Fair
After what happened on Monday, my morale has gone down. Helping my students
with their English is OK, but after they go home, I would rather go home,
too. The bosses are the way they are, there is no significance in staying
longer at work. So I have decided to take an hour off if there are no students
around.
Tuesday, October 3, 2017 Mostly cloudy.
Spent a peaceful time at home. At work malice prevails now. If you have
a bad boss at work, you will lose your morale. That is what happening at
most workplaces, I imagine. Some even commit suicide. Even schools are
no exceptions nowadays.
Monday, October 2, 2017 Rainy
I prepared a transcript together with a letter of recommendation. They
say letters of recommendation should be censored by the bosses. So, I took
the recommendation to them. Then one of the bpsses said I should go throught
the due process. I said I did not know that. He said, "It's your fault."
This boss said it with a rigid facial expression. I know this type of person
lacks flexibility. What a hell of a workplace this has become! Anyway picking
up a fight, such people want to show their power. A control freak!

We had our Sports Day at our school today. I was overworked by the younger
ones. I spent most of the time outside today. My very last athletic meeting
as a high school teacher.
