ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

Day 10 at the public library. One month has passed since I tetired. Just
saw the Korean drama "Tunnel."
Sunday, April 29, 2018 Fair
Late last night our second son got back home and went to bed right away.
Today, too, went to the library. Dauy 10. Yesterday my ex-colleague was
good enough to send me the frist-term schedule, the Korean reports with
the right answers written in there. and a short note.
Saturday, April 28, 2018 Fair
Killed a big centipede on the balcony while cleaning it. We are thinking
of redoing the bathroom. I made a phone call to the company. They sent
us a man right away. Bought a new broom on the way home from the library.
Our second son is coming back home agaiin tonight.
Friday, April 27, 2018 Fair
Cleaned half of the balcony. My wife does not feel up to doing that.
Cooked today's supper, too. Exhausted at the end of the day.
Thursday, April 26, 2018 Fair
Got some exercise in the park as usual. Spent a couple of hours in the
public library. Cooked something for supper for the first time in many
years. Called an ex-colleague and got a call from a school clerk. Weeded
the backyard. Two 60-liter garbage bags of weeds.
Wednesday, April 25, 2018 Rainy and then cloudy.
Day 7 at the library, which is full of retirees like me. On the way home
got a haircut at the usual barbershop. Then did some shopping. My wife
was reluctant to do anything today unlike yesterday.
Tuesday, April 24, 2018, Cloudy and then rainy.
Been to the library and the dentist. Now reading a book entitled "After
Retirement", which, however, talks mostly about those who have attained
some economic success in life. It does not apply to me because I am , not
so well off as those people. Maybe I am one of those ordinary ones.
Monday, April 23, 2018 Fair
Did not feel like doing anything in particular. The public library was
closed today. Just viewed some video recordings.
Sunday, April 22, 2018 Fair
Day 5 iin the public library. I usually read several different books,
translate a Korean passage into English, and check the Internet. On the
way home, drop in at the shopping area.
Saturday, April 21, 2018 Fair
Attended a condo board meeting. I am going to be on the board. I would
rather not, but it is a resident's duty. Day 4 at the public library. I
see so many elderly people there, including myself.
Friday, April 20, 2018 Fair
It has been almost three weeks since my retirement. Now I no longer belong
to any organization. This state is similar to that of a preschool kid.
Thursday, April 19, 2018 Fair
Some people say life after retirement is boring. It is. When I go to
the library, I see so many elderly people there. In May I will be working
part-time as an English teacher. In the meantime, I am trying to think
about how better to utilize my time.
Wednesday, April 18, 2018 Fair
went "slow-jogging" twice-first in the morning by myself and
second with my wife at night. My right ankle hurts. Pain is all over, but
better to get some exercise daily if not impossible. Went to the library
in the afternoon and spent a couple of hours there reading. Watched the
Korean drama "Tunnel" later.
Tuesday, April 17, 2018 Cloudy and then rainy.
I resumed posting "Morning Letter" on my Facebook. This time
I just write a comment, though. Just another day is over.
Monday, April 16, 2018 Fair
My wife is feeling under the weather. Our cats are chasing me all day.
Not much to do, or rather in no mood to do anything. Just saw a couple
of video recordings-Korean dramas.
Sunday, April 15, 2018 Rainy and then cloudy.
Our second son has gone back to Tokyo. We had takoyaki for lunch. My
wife was ready with some takoyaki kit. We all enjoyed making takoyaki.
Saturday, April 14, 2018 Cloudy and rainy.
While watching TV today, I heard the following impressive words: "Yesterday
is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And this moment is a gift. That is why
we call it the present, " and also "Life is a bumpy road. Life
is changing." The one who said these words is a third-genernation
Japanese-American Buddhist.
Friday, April 13, 2018 Fair
Went to the local Hello Work to do some red tape. Have to go there again
in early May. Talked with three persons in charge. Although retired, I
have to face a lot of bureaucracy.
Thursday, April 12, 2018 Fair
A J-COM man came to set up my new mobile phone. Our second son came back
from Tokyo to attend the funeral of his best's friend's father. Tomorrow
I will go to the local Hello Work with my bank book.
Wednesday, April 11, 2018 Fair but so windy.
Got a Hello Work-related mail, I need to visit the local Hello Work office
maybe the day after tomorrow. There is always a lot fo complicated red
tape. I hate it.
Tuesday, April 10, 2018 Fair
Went to the transfer station to buy a book of tickets. Made a phone call
to the ward office because I was not infomed of this change in the medical
care for the elderly. The law or rule has been revided for the worse. That
is what they always do. On the way home from the junction station dropped
by the library. Then did a little shopping.
Monday, April 9, 2018 Fair
Went shopping for some cat food at the usual supermarket. Viewed some
video recordings-English programs, Korean dramas, and so on.
Sunday, April 8, 2018 Cloudy
Went to school to do the printing. My first classes are going to be on
May 11, but on that day I will have no time to print the handouts. Besides
my train pass expires this week.

The weather worsened yesterday after dark, and did not accomplish very
much. Today, too, in no mood to do anything in particular. It was quite
cold this morning.

Staying at home all day is too much for me. My physical strength, too,
declines, so decided to spend some time in the library. I went there late
in the afternoon and spent two hours or so reading.
Wednesday, April 4, 2018 Fair
At home I have nothing in particular to do. I thought I would work more
as a part-time teacher, but the fact is to the contrary. Well, I have worked
more than enough so far. Just wait and see. Everything comes to him who
waits.
Tuesday, April 3, 2018 Fair
I am thinking of going to school next week to prepare for my first class
as a part-time teacher. before my train pass expires. I need to do the
printing at least. On the way home I might as well go shopping for cat
food. Today went to the hospital for neck traction, without my insurance
policy, I am now waiting for my new one. It is going to take some time.
Monday, April2, 2018 Fair
Day 2 of "Every Day Sunday'. Last month was so hectic that I forgot
to work on the Supercrossword. As a matter of fact, I worked on the second
Saturday of last month. Today I got some preserved flower from our first-born
son. A gift for my complete retirement. Also got an emai from an ex-colleague.
Sunday, April 1, 2018 Fair
A J-COM man came over and I canncelled my cotract with au. My new contract
with J-COM will be valid on the 12th of this month, when sombebody from
J-COM comes to set up my new phone.
My second son's gift for my complete retirement arrived today. It is a
legless chair.
