ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

Yesterday went to the ward office to do some red tape, having a certain
cetificate issued. Then off to the hospital for neck traction. Today at
work a total of four students came to see me. One for her sign-up and the
rest to get their diploma.
Monday, February 26, 2018 Fair
At there was a staff meeting. Again seven subjects have been taken away
from next school year's cllasses. This school is no longer what it used
to be. It lacks variety and diversity.
Sunday, February 25, 2018 Cloudy, occasioanlly rainy.
Our graduation ceremeony was held today. My homeroom class had 12 graduating
students, but after all only five of them came. Three said they could not
come. Four did not contact me. This class has been the most tiring one
that I have ever had. It has been so until the end. Yesterday neck traction
and shopping. Vewing some video recordings and reading. Finished reading
"Moribito" today.

At work finished filling in all the school records online. Taking my
stuff littke by little. These days I do not teach or study English, so
I tend to forget English vocabulary. The same thing is true with Korea
vocabualry.

There was a discussion meetiing at work. It lasted a little over ah hour,
but not very fruitful. After all most students lack normative consciousness
no matter what might be done.

At work we worked together to double-check the sign-up-related papers.
On coming back home, called my dentist because there seemed to be something
wrong with my teeth. As it turned out, however, there was nothing in particular
wrong. I was told not to eat anything too hard. I have become a completely
old man.
Tuesday, February 20, 2018 Cloudy
Went to the tax office. Took the 11:21 am express. At the tax office
the lady in charge of my tax return forgot to tell me to seal the papaer
altough she asked me if I had my seal. I became aware of it later and asked
a young official about it. He said there were so many papers they could
not look for mine, so he contacted somebody else and said mine would do
without my seal, which was an exception, though. He jotted down my name
and birthday(?).

Went to work as usual. Handed in all the sign-up related papers except
the ones to be submitted to the school nurses because they were absent.
Gave back the class money, too. Took three hours off and hit the road.
On the way home bought some cat food and cat sand together with some bread
for humans. Tomorrow got to go to the tax office for my income tax return.
Also dispose of some bulky trash because somebody will pick it up for free
hopefully.

Both yesterday and today I could jog so slowly in the park because nobody
was doing anything dangerous. And I could take it easy at home, too, playing
SCRABBLE and viewing video recordings. The cats were either sunbathing
or sleeping under the warm kotatsu..

At work three students to help with their sign-up. Two of them came late,
also unprepared. I worked overtime today, too. I also had to do something
the boss told us to do-extra work again. His explanation often falles short,
which fact gives us all a hard time. Two library books to check out on
the way to work.
Thursday, February 15, 2018 Cloudy
At the meeting at work today one of the bosses emceed, but the flow of
information was one-way traffic as usual and sometimes what he said did
not make sense. This one is far from competent in many ways-no communication
skills or no compassion at all.
Wdenesday, February 14, 2018 Fair
At work I worked until very late for the first time in many days because
of the so-ca;;ed sign-up assistance. One homeroom student did not show
up. The other two came. I still have two or three left, at least. Did some
other odds and ends, too.
Tuesday, February 13, 2018 Fair
Jogged for 30 minutes this morning. Off to the clinic for nect traction
and also went to the dentist around noon. Viewed a couple of video recordings.
Monday, February 12, 2018 Cloudy.
It snowed last night, and the park was covered with snow this morning.
I just took a walk there for 30 minutes or so. Not much to see on TV because
of the winter Olympics in South Korea.
Sunday, February 11, 2018 Fair
Yesterday my wife took her mother, her aunt, and another elderly woman
to a play in the rain. She seemed to be so tired after that. At night I
prepared for my income tax return. Today it was windy but I went jogging
anyway. Viewed some video recordings.
Friday, February 9, 2018 Fair
No homeroom students showed up, standing me up. This homeroom class is
full of students who never keep their word. Is it because they live in
such circumstances? I have no idea. Maybe things and people have changed.
Politicians never keep their promise, either.
Thursday, February, 8, 2018 Fair
Anyway jogged for 40 minutes so very slowly in the park this morning.
At work two meetings to attend. Corrected the date for the graduationg
homeroom student in question.
Wednesday, February 7, 2018 Cloudy
Jogged so slowly like yesterday. At work took care of four students.
Three of them came late almost at the same time as is often the case with
students at this school. Really exhausted at the end of the day. Went shopping
on the way home.
Tuesday, Febuary 6, 2018 Cloudy
Went to the clinic for the usual physical therapy and then off to the
family doctor. Toward the evening off to the dentist. This morning jogged
super slowly for 40 minutes.
Monday, February 5, 2018 Cloudy
Jogged for 30 minutes or so so very slowly this morning. Went shopping
for cat food twice today. At work I was on telephone duty for three hours.
We had seven visitors and two calls in all-not much.

It has been quite cold today, but tomorrow is even colder, I hear. I
do not want to go to work tomorrow in such cold weather. Winter is a cruel
season for elderly people. At age 65 I still have to work to make a living.
In the future, life is said to be ever harsher.

Went to the dentist because part of the gum hurt badly. The dentist said
it was just the gum not the tooth. The way I brush my teeth or the kind
of food I ate caused that. About six months ago something similar happened-maybe
almost the same thing happened. I easily forget to brush my teeth carefully
when my teeth and gum are all right.

In the park jogged for 15 minutes for the first time in 10 days. At work
just helped one student sign up. Another just gave me a call to make an
appointment.
Thursday, February 1, 2018 Rainy
In the cold rain I had to go to the other hospital early in the morning.
Then back home ate lunch and off to work. At work double-checked the grades
and prepared for the sign-up assistance period.
On the way home bought some cat food. Viewed some video recordings at home.
