ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

At work today was the deadline for the third term. I stayed until eight
o'clock at nihgt. Up until then students came one after another. I am almost
done. I called a stidemt or two, too.
Tuesday, January 30, 2018 Cloudy
Did a little walking in the park this morning for 30 minutes or so. I
wish I could jog. That is more refreshing. Went to the clinic for neck
traction before noon. Saw the dentist late in the afternoon-my monthly
visit. Today has been a cold and dreary day. Returned two library books
and went shopping on the way back from the destist. Did some reading at
home, too.
Monday, January 29, 2018 Cloudy
First thing in the morning I went shopping for some vegetables and cat
food. No slow jogging because of my knee trouble. I can walk all right
but running is different. At work just six or seven students came to see
me. I wonder how many will come the day after tomorrow-at the last minute,
I mean.
Sunday, January 28, 2018 Mostly rainy.
Calculated for the income tax return on my computer. Took me a couple
of hours, making some mistakes. Viewed some video recordings. I was at
home all day today because I still cannot go jogging.
Saturady, January 27, 2018 Fair
My left knee still bothers me. I cannot jog the way I usually do. Went
to the clinic for neck traction and did some shopping for lunch and supper.
These days I drink wine, eating peanuts. I drink less beer or other types
of alcoholic beverages. Alcohol is after all carcinogenic, according to
a recent study.
Friday, Janiuary 26, 2018 Cloudy, occasionally snowy and rainy.
My left knee still hurts, so I just did some walking in the park this
morning. At work took care of five or six students. there still remain
so many students to take care of. The daytime students are really tiring.
Thursday, January 25, 2018 Cloudy
My left knee aches. It was OK yesterday morning, but when I got back
from work, it hurt. I have no idea how it started. Anyway I cannot run
now. I can barely walk. Because of aging? At work two tedious meetings.
This homeroom class is full of lazy graduating students. They are giving
me a hard time.

It was freezing cold on my way home. It was so windy, too. At work I
blundered a lot because I wanted to take three hours off. Haste does make
waste.
Tuesday, January 23, 2018 Cloudy
In central Japan a volcano erupted, inflicting some casualties. It reminded
me of Mt. Ontake's eruption weveral years ago. I had loose bowels today
and took a nap late in the afternoon.
Monday, January 22, 2018 Cloudy and then rainy.
At work today was the last day for makeups and retests, and the deadline
is the 31st of this month. However, there sttill reman dozens of students
who need to either take their exam or finish their assignments. Those students
have no sense of impending crisis.
Sunday, January 21 2018 Fair
It is going to cold this week. Actually, it has gotten rather cold tonight.
This morning when I went "slow jogging" in the park, I took a
couple of photos on my smartphone. I wanted to take a pictiure of a certain
bird but I could not. At home viewed some video recordings as usual after
taking an afternoon nap.
Saturdat, January 20, 2018 Fair
Did some walking in the park this morning because some kids were there
before me, practicing batting, which is quite dangerous and actually prohibited
there. Off to the clinic for neck traction before noon. Did some shopping
on the way home. I have quite a few library books to read. Have to hit
the books.
Friday, January 19, 2018 Cloudy
Dat two for makeups and retests. There were more students than the day
before yesterday. I took care of six students and did some other work such
as preparing for the sign-up assistance period.
Took three hours off. The JR homewoard train was packed and the area near
exit was blokcked by a group of high school villans.
Thursday, January 18, 2018 Fair
At there was an explanatory meeting on this year's sign-up procedure
after they finished today's shipment, but the meeting was so long I wan
unable to do any other work after that. As soon as it was over, I had to
hit the road.
Wednesday, January 17, 2018 Rainy
The bad weather stopped me from going jogging this morning. At work some
students who could not take their English exams came to retake their exmas.
I only took care of three students. Also called a problem homeroom student
in vain.
Tuesday, January 16, 2018 Fair
An off day. After my morning super slow jog, took a shower and off to
the clinic for my usual neck traction and "hot pack." After eating
lunch, felt so sleepy I took a nap.
Monday, January 15, 2018 Fair
Went to work. Invigilated the English exam and marked the exam papers,
inputting the results into the computer. The whole process took me four
and a half hours. Exhausted and took one hour off. Ate my bento back home.
Sunday, January 14, 2018 Cloudy
The park was not full, so it was a lot easier to jog this morning. Viewed
some video recordings, did some reading and cleaning at home.
Saturday, January 13, 2018 Fair
Went "slow" jogging in the park and off to the hospital for
neck traction. On the way back went shopping at the usual place for today's
meals. Ate a lot and drank sake, which is not good for health because,
adccording to the latest study, alcohol is carcinogenic.
Friday, January 12, 2018 Fair
At work just two homeroom students came to see me. I called another in
vain on the phone. Some of the homeroom students give me some trouble as
is often the case every year.
Thursday, January 11, 2018 Cloudy
At work called three homeroom students to tell them about their attendance
status. This morning when I did my super slow jogging, I put some weights
around my ankles and wristes. Hope it will work. I got this idea from what
Miura Yuichiro said about his training.
Wednesday, January 10, 2018 Mostly rainy.
There is a knack for everything even in learning. You need to know the
basics, to begin with, but you have somebody or a mentor, you are at an
advantage. So, to get to know somebody who is worth getting acqainted with
is very important. This morning no slow jog because of the wet weather.
At work invigilated the C English Ⅱexam andd was on parking lot duty.
The weather was so cold and terribe then. Took an hour off and was homewardbound.
Tuesday, January 9, 2018 Rainy, so very windy and then cloudy.
Went to see my family doctor for the month of January. Then to the usual
pharmacy with a prescription and the library to return a book entitled
"The Good Liar." At home viewed some recordings and read a little.
Tomorrow is a workday and got to be on parking duty in the cold in the
evening.
Monday, January 8, 2018 Cloudy and then rainy.
Our second son has gone back to Tokyo. Today's weather is dismal. I don't
like it. Although I did my usual slow jog in the park, I was in no mood
to do anything else. However, I viewed some video recodrdings anyway.
Sunday, January 7, 2018 Cloudy, occasionally fair.
It has been already a week since this year began. Today our second son
came over toward the evening. The three of us were being so talkative this
evening, including our two cats.
Saturday, January 6, 2018 Mostly cloudy, occasionally drizzling.
Although a bit rainy, went "slow jogging" in the park as usual.
Viewed some video recordings. Went shopping twice. Also been to the hospital
for neck traction.
Friday, January 5, 2017 Rainy and then cloudy.
In the morning walked under an umrella in the park for 40 minutes or
so. At work had to prepare six transcripts all of a sudden. Corrected a
few reports. Took three hours off and hit the road. Shopping at the usual
supermarket on the way home.
Thursday, January 4, 2018 Cloudy
Went to work. It was the first workday. The workplace was deserted. I
saw only six or seven fellow teachers. The corridors were so cold. The
weatherman says it is going to be even colder tomorrow. I might have to
wear a thicker jacket.
Wednesday, January 3, 2018 Fair
Viewed lots of video recordings. Our cats and I started using the kotatsu
today. Tomorrow is a workday.

Went to see my mom and sis. They were doing OK. Ate lunch there and chatted.
My sis gave me a ride to the nearest station.
Monday, January 1, 2018 Sunny
Jogged slowly in the morning in the park, where again a boy and his father
were playing catch this time-not batting practic. Late in the afternoon
our nephew came with his wife. They are newlyweds. They came to see their
grandma, but the grandma was in her dimentia mode today. She hardly recognized
her grandson. 17 people sent me NY cards. Wrote back to them right away.
