ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

Thursday, May 31, 2018 Cloudy and then rainy.
Anyway jogged in the park. It was rather grassy. The grass was in my
way. Still cough a bit and rested almost all day. In today's Japan anything
goes as far as politics is concerned. Justice does not prevail here. The
end of the country!

At work somebody complained about pair work practice in class because
I 'made' them make pairs, so I decided to 'let' them make pairs. There
are all kinds of students in the daytime section.
Tuesday, May 29, 2018 Cloudy
Could jog today, too. Tomorrow is a workday in a week. The weather is
going to worsen. Too bad. It will pour when I leave for work.
Monday, May 28, 2018 Cloudy
Jogged for 40 minutes as usual this morning. Took a shower and had to
go to the other hospital to have a certain cetificate issued. I have to
go there again in 10 days or so to get the certificate. It is just a piece
of paper, but so expensive.
Sunday, May 27, 2018 Fair
Jogged a little in the park for the first time in about two weeks. I
still cough a bit and phlegm, too, comes out. My physical strength has
not declined so much anyway. I have no choice but to keep moving until
I die as long as I can.
Saturday, May 26, 2018 Fair
There was a general assembly at our condo complex. It began with the
management company's explanation of important matters at 9:30 a.m.. ending
a little past 11:00 a.m. It is my turn to be on the board this year.
Friday, May 25, 2018 Cloudy
I still cough a bit, and phlegm, too, comes out. So does my wife. It
is as if some unknown virus were rampant these days. In fact, a young teacher
at school was coming down with pneumonia or something when I last taught
there.
Thursday, May 24, 2018 Fair
Yesterday went to work and taught one class. My throat is still sore.
The cough got a little better, but I still cough. Viewed a sprecial press
meeting on the Nichidai American football issue. The aftertaste was bad.
Today I was at home all day, still watching TV, especially focusing on
the American football stuff.
Tuesday, May 22, 2018 Fair
Because of this bad cold I have not jogged for nearly a week. Went to
the dentist and the hospital today. They are always reporting about the
American football issue on TV now. Behind that tragedy is the mental structure
of Japanese sports club activities.
Monday, May 21, 2018 Fair
I still have a sore throat and cough from time to time. Today is our
first-born son's birthday. He is already a middle-aged man. No wonder I
am so old. Taught one class at school. It is always who to teach that matters,
not what to teach or how to teach it.
Sunday, May 20, 2018 Cloudy
At home all day. Actually, in bed with this bad cold, coughing a lot
with a lot of phlegm coming out. Hope I can make it to school tomorrow.
Our second son just came and stayed overnight.
Saturday, May 19, 2018 Fair
Yesterday was summer. Today was early spring. The temperature dropped
sharply. I still have a terrible cough. I feel sluggish, so I went to see
the doc today. Under different medication now.
Friday, May 18, 2018 Cloduy
Yesterday I began to cough. Phlegm kept coming out. Today was a workday.
Although I still felt weak, I took a shower. Taught two classes and prepared
some sheets. The students are the same. They do not study the way I want
them to. I should not expect too much of them. I will have to go see the
doc again. My condition is no good-a sore throat and a bad cough.
Wednesday, May 16, 2018 Fair
This morning my phlegn was a bit bloody. I went to see the doctor because
I had one class to teach this afternoon. No slow jogging. Still feeling
sluggish and dizzy.
Tuesday, May 15, 2018 Fair
I seldom catch cold there days. But I am feverish and feel weak. I have
a cold. I have a sore throat. I cough a little. Tomorrow I have to go to
work. Too bad.
Monday, May 14, 2018 Fair
Just one class to teach but reported for word early because I needed
to get the rollbook ready. As soon as the class was over, I hit the road.
Sunday, May 13, 2018 Cloudy and then rainy.
Went to see Mom because today is Mother's Day. I got there quite early
before 9:00 a.m. because the weatherman said it was going to rain hearvily
this afternoon. I took a present, a bluish blouse, to my mother. I left
for home after eating lunch. When I got to the nearest station from home,
it was raining so heavily. I got very wet while walking back home.
Saturday, May 12, 2018 Fair
There was an extra board meeting for the condo complex. I am going to
be on the board this year. Then went to the hospital as usual. After eating
lunch, off to the library. Tomorrow is Mother's Day, so I bought a present.
The weather is going to be teririble tomorrow. I am a "rain man."
Friday, May 11, 2018 Fair
It got quite warm by noon. Day 1 at the same high school as a part-time
teacher. Had two classes to teach in a row. Quite busy doing this and that.
Not finished yet but left for home because I had to buy some cat food for
our littler cat. Back home fell asleep. Maybe I was tired from working
for the first time in many days.
Thursday, May 10, 2018 Fair
Went to the other hospital by train. I had an appointment with this doctor.
Back home went jogging in the park. While watching TV, felt a bit tired.
Went to the library in the afternoon and spent a couple of hours reading
as usual. Tomorrow I will go to school for the first time in more than
a month.
Wednesday, May 9, 2018 Cloudy
Went to the library in the morning. In the afternoon the contractors
came to check the old bathroom. Viewed some video reocordings.
Tuesday, May 8, 2018 Cloudy, occasionally riainy.
Nexk tractuib abd our family doctor in the morning. No public library
in the afternoon today. A gift came from our first-born son.
Monday, May 7, 2018 Rainy
Part of my body is so itcy I went to see my dermatologist. I used the
ointment given to me a couple of years ago and the skin was almost OK when
I saw the doctor. Took a walk in the park in the rain.
Sunday, May 6, 2018 Cloudy
Our second son has gone back to Tokyo. I put his bedroom back to the
original state. He is coming back again on the 19th of this month. My wife
is having a hard time shaking off her cold. I spent a couple of hours in
the public library reading as uaual.

Went to the public library as usual in the afternoon. Usually spend throo
hours or so reading. The place is usually almost full. I mean the seats.
Friday, May 4, 2018 Fair
Went to the public library in the morning. In the afternoon watched a
drama on NHK. It was about the Canadian husband of a deceased younger brother.
Thursday, May 3, 2018 Fair
Day 11 at the public library. The place was full today. Checked out one
book on Eric Hoffer.
Wednesday, May 2, 2018 Cloudy
Went to the local unemployment office to do some red tape. The guy in
charge of redoing our old bathroom came with an estimate. My wife was delinquent
enough not to make lunch for me. This happens sometimes.
Tuesday, May 1, 2018 Fair
Went to a TOTO showroom. Although a bit expensive, we may redo the bathroom.
Tomorrow have to go to the local HelloWork. Next week my part-time teaching
begins.
