　Typhoon No.12 is coming up this way, maybe hitting this part of the country over the weekend. Today being the last day of the summer holidays for our studetns, not for the teachers, kind of feeling busy doing this and that.

　Before going to the Korean language school, felt so sleepy I took a short nap. When I talk about something in class, I think just jotting down some key words is enough. Yesterday started practicing Korean in the shower. Leaning a foreign language has much to do with your lifestyle.

　At work tried to work according to plan, but only accomplished half as much. At home fell asleep while reading a book in bed, waking up around midnight and drinking some water. Also did a little cleaning around the desk. I am trying to straighten up the mess.

　Reading more than 10 books, so busy reading over the weekend. I am afraid I will not be able to finish reaing them all by the deadlines. However, I will try my best. It is a good thing to set a deadline and read any book. Otherwise you just idle away your time.

　Took a latter half day off and came back home. Met two colleagues on the shoppingn street on the way to the nearest station from school. Listened to the late Mr. Kawai Hayao on the iPod. Even Freud and Jung had mental problems, not to mention ordinary people.

　The summer vacation for students, not for teachers, is coming to an end. I took a latter half-day off, a special summer holiday. On the way home, broke my journey and dropped in at a department store to buy a birthday present for my wife, not an expensive one but one of my choice.

　Worked almost as planned, but felt very sleepy on the job. Coming back home, tried to read a book, falling asleep with the book in hand and the bedside lamp on. There were more people at work than usual-a sign that school is going to resume soon-back to normal, which means busyness.

　Had my spouse's birthday celebrared on August 21, but the birthday cake was bought the day before because the confectinary was to be closed on the 21. Yesterday worked as planned. Had an English study session as well. Today did a kind of show and tell in the Korean classroom.

Saturday, August 20, 2011 Fair

　Watched "Sonshi's Tactics" on WOWOW in the morning. Then went to the English conversation school, but spoke only a little in English. Today's topics centered around things Chinese. A bit tired. Ate lunch and took a nap.. Have a lot of library books to read.

　Left home earlier than usual and checked out six library books. Last night dropped by to return two library books, but the book drops were closded. So, this morning I told them so, but they did not believe me. The man at the counter apologized to me, though.

　Another muggy day. It is dangerous to take a walk in this kind of weather. Even at work air-conditioning is a must. When I got into the usual room, the temperature was 36.7 degrees Celcius. To stay there was somewhat suicidal, so I went down to the second floor for a cooler environment.

　While listening to YouTube, I took "they're after" for "thereafter." Shame on me! Well, I should not let this stuff get to me so, to begin with. I also did not know what a flipchart looks like. Today I drove over to Mom's place with my wife, taking a latter half-day off.

　Boiling hot as usual. Went to the Korean language school after an interval of two weeks. Made some booboos. shame on me! Then went to work. The place was deserted, which lowered my morale. However, come to think of it, nowadays who does not have a shadow on his face at work? Just a gloomy ethos prevalent at work.. The spirit of decadence now prevailing in this day and age is also reflected here.

　This morning swallowed a gastric camera. It do this at this time of the year-an annual event. At work finished making the 3rd-term OC�Treport and also had an English study session. Yesterday went out to buy some socks and alsko had my glasses fixed.

Saturday, August 13, 2011 Fair

　Before going to see my mother, visited my father's grave, which was erected recently, for the first time. Yesterday it was so muggy at work I spent a couple of hours down on the second floor, in the air-conditioned staff room. On Thursday checked out five or six books on the way to work. So, my rucksack felt so heavy on my back. I am now preparing the 3rd-term OC�Treport. The Reading one is already done.

　Another hot day. However, spent most of the time in the English Interview Room on the fifth floor at work. At the end of the day I had a headache, though. This kind of weather puts my system in jeopardy if I stay in such a hot environment.

　It is much hotter today than yesterday. On the fifth floor at work the thermometer stayed at 35 degrees Celcius. Anyhow worked almost as planned both today and yesterday. Yesterday had an English study session as usual.

Sunday, August 7, 2011 Fair

　Yesterday just went to the usual English speaking session, where there were more than ten people present. For the rest of the day just dilly-dallied. Same thing today at home. Too hot to do anything..

Friday, August 5, 2011 Cloudy, a passing shower.

　Worked my own way as planned. A phone call from an English �Tstudent asking me to correcting the wrong data. So I did. I was reading a magazine article written by a universtiy professor about the teaching of English in elementary schools. It became compulsory this school year. However, it is a total flop, producing more kids who hate English. It must have been a bunch of shallow-minded people up above who advocated that.

　There was an unexpected occurrence-again something wrong with the numbers in the past Student Council treasury report. Spent a couple of hours trying to locate the error. So my plan for today was wrecked. Instead I cleaned the sink and drainage and also swept the floor of the English Interview Room.

　So far it has not been as hot as last summer, but I hear it is going to be hotter soon. I had better watch out for heat exhaustion. The truth is often cruel, but you must face up to it. It is sad for sure, but there is no choice but to endure it.

　My computer broke down at work. I have no idea why that happened. I switched it on as usual. Then it crashed. The usual ESS member came. Another student came. I helped him with his Korean assignment. I have reserved quite a few library books. I need to finish reading the ones I have chencked out.

　Went to work as usual. Worked as planned. Had an English study session. On arriving back home, started to work on the Super Crossword. Missed seeing this year's PL fireworks display because I had to work until late.
