Tuesday, July 31, 2012 Fair

It has been a hot day, but I could get by because it was not too humid. It is the humidity that makes it impossible for the sweat to evaporate. Been to the Korean language school. Yesterday worked as planned at work. Began cleaning here and there.

Sunday, July 29, 2012 Fair

Went slow jogging this morning for 30 minutes or so. My wife said that we needed to buy some daily necessities, so we went out shoppiing together by car. On the way home ate noodles for lunch at the usual drive-in noodle shop. Almost finished putting the old books into boxes or bags for disposal. Yesterday was so very hot and humid I could hardly move. In the evening our first-born son came over and ate supper together with us. He will be going abroad on business soon.

Friday, July 27, 2012 Fair and boiling hot.

Had interviews with four homeroom students today at work. It took me two hours in all. The mercury hit almost 34 degrees Celsius in the English Interview Room. Almost finished making the OCTand Reading reports for the next term and also for the first term of next school year.

Thursday, Ju;y 26, 2012 Fair and sultry.

At work sent my homeroom students their grades for the first term at this moment after having an Englsih study session with my Korean friend. Today's temperature exceeded 34 degrees Celsius in the English Interview Room, so decided to use the adjacent room. Bought two cans of beer and a bag of peanuts on the way home.

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 Fair

Did things at home as planned. Watched the morning KBS Korean drama as usual after the routine of taking some exercise. Read some books. Put some old books into plastic bags for future disposal. Went shopping for lunch and supper. Checked out a couple of books at the library. Did some cleaning as well. Although today was a substitule holiday, I had a full day at home. I did some brisk walking in the evening, too. Yesterday had a medical checkup at work around 11:00 a.m. Then off to the Korean classroom tired because of the heat and humidity. Made a little speech in Korean.

Monday, July 23, 2012 Fair

We have a new fridge at work now. When I got to work today, it was there where the old one used to be. I unpacked it and cleaned the inside. Using the cardboard, I convered the pane glasses to fend off the heat. Yesterday had an English study session with my Korean friend. Last Friday went to see the dentist for a checkup.

Thursday, July 19, 2012 Cloudy

Decided not to go jogging this morning because I seemed to have gone too far these days. At work finished marking all the English Texam papers and inputted the results. Tomorrow we are giving makeups. Looks like I am getting used to the summer heat.

Wednesday, July 18, 2012 Fair and as hot as yesterday.

The heat really got me. I was unable to go without air conditioning. Two tests to invigilate, so not enough time to mark the exam papers. Checked 30 reports or so, though. This morning, too, I started jogging a bit later than usual. It got too hot, so I gave up after 15 minutes or so. I almost dehydrated.

Tuesday, July 17, 2012 Fair and so very hot and humid.

The weather really got me. My mind did not function properly at the Korean language school. On the way home got something to eat for supper for both of us. My wife was busy cleaning because her mother is going to live with us soon.

Monday, July 16, 2012 Fair

Things went almost according to plan today. First, swept the balcony. Second, put 100 old books or so into plastic bags for near future disposal. Third, watched the morning Korean drama. Fourth, saw the Chinese dramas. Fifth, went shopping. Sixth, studied Korean. Seventh, went jogging again in the evening. Finally, going to learn about smartphone cloud service from my wife.

Sunday, July 15, 2012 Cloudy and so hot!

Today the temperature went up to 33 degrees Celsius. Finished the Super Crossword. Doing it on the smartphne took me longer than usual. On the way home bought bento at the usual department store. Back home it was still so hot. Decided to switch on the air-conditioner.

Satudrday, July 14, 2012 Cloudy

My eyes get blurry in the summer. For the past two days they have been sort of sticky. I wonder if I should go see an ophthalmologist.

Friday, July 13,. 2012 Cloudy

Our 32nd wedding anniversary today. I got married at age 27, which means I am 60 this year. Now reading a book entitled "Life Lessons" , I wonder if I get a copy of the same book written in Korean. Yesterday at work I wrecked the fridege in the English Room. I reported to the office for that. I disposed of the broken one and asked them to buy a new one by using the budget, which is our share.

Thursday, July 12, 2012 Cloudy

There was an AED workshop. Last time I participated must have been more than ten years ago. The procedure has become quite simple. First, see if the patient is in a safe place and also he or she is conscious by saying to him or her, "Are you all right?", at the same time, patting on the collarbone. Second, see if he or she is breathing all right by looking at the stomach. Third, begin CPR by pressing the center of the chest counting, at the same time, telling two persons near you to bring an AED kit and also call 119 respectively. Then apply the AED while pressing the chest. Follow the recorded instructions.

Wednesday, July 11, 2012 Cloudy and then rainy.

Two exams to invigilate. Checked over 30 reports, marked the Reading exam papers, and inputted the results. Ate supper after 7:00 p.m. The temperature in the room at work was around 31 degrees Celsius. The other teachers moved to the air-conditioned room. The left knee joing still hurts. Wish I could jog.

Tuesday, July 10, 2012 Cloudy

Took a summer special half-day off, going to the Korean language school. In the morning, just took a walk for an hour or so because my left knee hurt. Too bad. I rested for some time at home and left for the classroom. After the Korean class, off to work.

Monday, July 9, 2012 Cloudy

Marked the OCTexam papers, inputted the results, and put each student's exam papter into his or her envelope. Checked nearly 30 reports. On duty in the teachers' room, too, after invigilating the OCTexam. Finished reading a library book. My wife's cough is so persistent, but she will not go see the doctor. She is adamant.

Sunday, July 8, 2012 Fair

Got up early in the morning. Went jogging, ate breakfast, took a shower, and off to the place where today's STEP interview test was to be held-such a long way away from home. The test ended a little past 3:00 p.m. Bought something for supper and came back home. Went to bed early tired. 20 examinees in the morning and 26 in the afternoon. ( Grades Pre-2 and 3)

Saturday, July 7, 2012 Rainy and then cloudy.

Tomorrow I have go to interview STEP exmainees for the first time in many months. Tomorrow happens to be a holiday. That is why I can be a STEP examiner. However, the place is a long way away. I need to get up early. This is part of the reason why I have not wanted to act as an examiner for a long time. It is an out-of-the-way place, in the middle of nowhere

Friday, July 6, 2012 Cloudy and then rainy.

On my way home caught in a shower and got wet. It was thundering, too. I dislike that. At work cleaned the homeroom classroom together with some colleagues. Then we English teachers got together and discussed some things. Had a Reading student come over. She almost finished her reports. Planned by and large what to do during the summer holidays. To us teachers, not holidays, though.

Thursday, July 5, 2012 Cloudy and rainy.

After I went jogging, it began to rain. At work there were two meetings. The regular one was O.K., but the latter curriculum committee meeting lasted for over two hours. There should be an English teachers' meeting tomorrow.

Wednesday, July 4, 2012 Cloudy and then rainy.

Ten reports to correct, two students to help with their reports, a lady who is to be a student teacher in September to have over and talk with., a health department teachers' meeting, etc. Not too busy, but moderately busy. Due to too much jogging? My knees ache a bit.

Tuesday, Ju;y 3. 2012 Rainy, occasionally cloudy.

Although I sent my Super Crossword answers on Sunday, I haven't heard from the crossword compiler. Resent on my PC this time anyway. He has written me back. Been to the Korean language institue in the rain. My wife has a cold now. Bought myself something to eat on the way home. Watched a couple of Chinese programs on TV to learn Chinese.
