ネット上で日記は、個人的にはthe last
thing I want to
doでした。しかし、英語を書くことが
学習の一環と言う立場にあるものが、sampleになるのも意味のないことではないだろう、
自分も毎日、英語に接する機会も増えるし、また、このホムペになんらかの足跡を残すことに
もなるかな、などなどlong,
sleepless autumn nightに考えて、半ば勢いでcreate。
3-sentenceとなってますけれども、not
necessarilyです。要するにnot longということです。

Friday, March 31, 2017 Cloudy and then rainy.
Yesterday I thought that spring had come, but today it was so cold that
I thought winter is back. The last graduating homeroom student came to
get his diploma. I thought that he would never come. As it turned out,
he needs to hand in a copy of that to his company.

Today's staff meeting is what we call a sum-up staff meeting. And after
that, the teachers who are leaving said a few words. Actually, most of
them said a lot of words, though. I think brevity is the soul of wit, but
nowadays that never seems to be the case. Their talks just went on and
on.
Wdnesday, March 29, 2017 Fair, occasionally cloudy.
The an-doughnut I ate yesterday caused me heartburn. There might have
been a problem with the oil. The bakery's an-doughnuts used to be good,
but now they do not taste as good. Today was a holiday for me. Just relaxed
at home all day.
Tuesday, March 28, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
At work disposed of lots of papers and cleaned the floor. The fifth floor
was rather deserted. The Korean reports have not been brought into the
report room yet. They should be due at 5:00 p.m. today. The ex-homeroom
studetnt came for her diploma a little after 5:00 p.m. Took three hours
off and hit the road.

Again the temperature dropped in the evening. The ex-homeroom student
I was waiting for did not show up. She called me, saying that she would
come tomorrow instead. Whatever... Just emptied the dest next to me for
the new English teacher. I am afraid she might not use it, though.
Sunday, March 26, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
Public distrust in politics seems to be deepening because of the recent
scandal involving the prime minister's wife, who often refers to a god.
I wonder what kind of god she believes in. Mammon?

It is still chilly. Went to Mom's place and gave her a birthday present.
She is 88 years old and has some health problems, but for her age she is
healthy.

Again the temperature dropped sharply in the evening. I took four hours
off. At work there was a meeting for the English teachers. I will have
to empty the desk next to mine for the new English teacher. I have been
using two desks. Made a stopover on the way home and did some shopping.
Thursday, March 23, 2017 Fair and then cloudy.
The temperature dropped in the evening. My wife turned on the gas heater
in the living room. Returned four library books today. "Sapiens"
was interesting. Capitalism and technology are really inseparable in modern
history. The discovery of America means a lot to capitalism, not to mention,
to scientific progress.

Morning jog and neck traction. That was about the size of it. About to
finish a book entiled "Sapiens."( Book Two)
Tuesday, March 21, 2017 Rainy anc cloudy.
It was rather cold today. The number of applicants was far from enough
this year. I did not need to work all the time until 6:00 p.m. I was off
before 5:00 p.m., so I took two hours off. I ate my box supper back home.
Monday, March 20, 2017 Cloudy
Vernal Equinox Day. Jogged slowly as usual in the park. There were some
people tjere, today being a national holiday. Need to read some library
books tonight.

Today's exam was for transfer students. I worked until a little before
5;00 p.m and took two hours off. Bought something to eat for supper for
the family.
Saturday, March 18, 2017 Overcast
Just the same routine in the morning-slow jogging and neck traction.
Tomorrow is bulky trash disposal day. I will dispose of lots of my past
English class handouts and ひとり学習related papers. Tomorrow is a workday.
Friday, March 17, 2017 Cloudy
Today is a substitute holiday for Tuesday next week. Just did my usual
slow jog in the morning. I was at home for the rest of the day. My wife
said she would clean the closet but actually, she did not as iis often
the case with her.

At work I was on telephone duty with a young colleague. He took care
of most of the calls. There were nearly 20 calls in all. Had an interview
with the boss. Sent letters to some of the homeroom students.
Wednesday, March 15, 2017 Cloudy
Went to see the family doctor and then went to the usual pharmacy. Did
a little shopping on the way home. Back home relaxed for the rest of the
day.
Tuesday, March 14, 2017 Cloudy
Jogged slowly in the park around 10:00 a.m. Then went to the hospital
for neck traction. Finished reading two library books and returned them
in the evening. On the way home bought something for supper. My wife began
cleaning the bedroom closet.
Monday, March 13, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
Atthough today was day three of the first exam period, I was off because
there were not too many examinees, so I took three hours off after wroking
a little in the English teachers' room.
Sunday, March 12, 2017 Fair
Went to work. Inteviewed 11 examinees in all. Took two hours off and
hit the road. Decided to work on the Super Crossword tomorrow. Tonight
I will just relax at home, reading and playing online.

Did my morning slow jog as usual and then off to the hospital for neck
traction as usual. Did some reading and played an online game or two later.
Friday, March 10, 2017 Cloudy
Day one of the entrance exam period. Interviewed eight examinees. Took
two hours off and was on the road.
Thursday, March 9, 2017 Cloudy
Not much work to do at work. I was mostly shooting the breeze with a
colleague. Also read a little and dropped by the library on the way home.

It is still cold without a heater on. Viewed some video recordings afer
going to the hospital for neck traction. There was a call from the vice
principal.
Tuesday, March 7, 2017 Cloudy and so windy.
Just went to the dentist. Viewed some video recordings. It was so windy
I did not go to the hospital for neck traction.
Monday, March 6, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
At work I was on telephone duty. Around 4:15 p.m. two young colleagues
took over for me. I was lucky. I answered some questions from a couple
of callers.

Went to work but I was off duty today, so I just spent my time doing
whatever came to mind. Took two hours off and was on the road.

My sister has taken Mom back anyway. We are thinking of taking her to
another doctor. We will make a decision, taking everything into consideration.
Friday, March 3, 2017 Cloudy
The application period for those who are going to graduate from junior
high has begun. Today was day one. I was in charge of double-checking papers,
but I made some booboos. I began working at 1:45 p.m., taking two 30-minute
breaks. The whole thing was done for me by 6:00 p.m. I took one hour off
and was on the road. The first day was supposed to be until 7:00 p.m. ,
though.
Thursday, March 2, 2017 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.
There was an information meeting about the entrance exam. Mom gave a
new day care center a try. She seemed to like it.
Wednesday, March 1, 2017 Cloudy and then a bit rainy.
Mom's TV set arrived this afternoon. Now she can watch TV in her room.
Viewed a couple of video recordings at night in my room.
