Been to the Korean language school. I did not study beforehand. There were some words I had totally forgotten. On the way home, did a little shopping at the usual supermarket. Watched a new Korean period drama on TV. Did some cleaning and took out the garbage as usual.

A complaint from an English Tstudent from out of the blue through a school nurse. Don't use English in correcting. I have never heard such a complaint for the past ten years here. Just unthinkable. How can I teach English without using English? That would be impossible and too unilateral. Not fair anyway. Things have changed. In this prefecture teachees are stronger than teachers. That is all because of the way of this prefecture's politics.

Sunday, October 28, 2012 Rainy and cloudy, thundering in the evening.

This morning took a walk under an umbrella in the rain. Marked the English Texam papers, inputting the results. Went slow-joggin withh the usual colleagues. Had an Englsih study session with my Korean friend as well. Anyway drafted the wedding speech. On the way home bought three bento at the usual department store. Yesterday working at my wife's mother's old home, cleaning and disposing of unnecessary stuff almost all day. The day before yesterday invigilated two exams at work and began grading the Englsih Texam sheets after checking 45 reports or so.

Maybe it is abnomal for teachers to stay at school when there are no students there. They are there not for their students but for the institution. This is what a well-known author wrote in his book. However, this is what is happening here now. This is a kind of alienation to teachers, who are sort of persecuted in this country.

Pre-test cleaning day. Cleaned a classroom with two other colleagues. Wend super-slow-jogging with the usual two members. Did some reading. Drank beer eating some sausage at night. A binge after something stressful.

Tuesday, October 23, 2012 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.

Went jogging this morning. However, I heard it thundering, so I avoided the usual park, running somewhere else. Made a speech in today's Korean class all right. Then went to work. Yesterday ran with two women colleagues.

Friday, October 19 was awfully busy. Checked nearly 50 reports. Really killing! Yesterday went to a costumer to rent a morning suit. In the morning went to the dentist, too. Today went to my wife's mom's old place to dipose of unnecessary stuff. The place was such a mess I was speechless.

Thursday, October 18, 2012 Rainy

Stayed at work all theway until 9:15 p.m. today, too. Yesterday I did so to avoid the heavy rain. Today there were two meeting from 2:00 p.m. until around 7:00 p.m.

Wednesdday, October 17, 2012 Rainy

Although I go jogging almost every morning, I never seem to lose much weight. I do not gain much weight. At work checked nearly 40 reports. Got really tired.

Tuesday, October 16, 2012 Fair

Went to the Korean language school for the first time in a month or so. This term we got back to the original classroom, where started there for the first time. Again the lower back tooth aches. As you get older, you lose little by little. Everyboddy wishes for PPK(PinPinKorori). Live well and die well.

Monday, October 15, 2012 Fair

Took an hour off and came back home. Today taught two classes-Reading and English T. Corrected 23 reports. Another workday has jjust passed.

Sunday, October 14, 2012 Fair

Took a day off. Spent some time with our second son at home before he left home. His eyes were red. He must be tired because of yesterday's wedding.

Saturday, October 13, 2012 Fair

Today is my 60th birthday. I am already 60, which fact I can hardly believe. Our second son came back to Osaka from Tokyo to attend his friend's wedding.

Little incentive to work because of so much pressure on us. I am afraid it is over with this prefecture's high school education. Well, it is a sign of the times. The whole country is degenerating. Today's Inclusive Education Hour was atteded by more students than I had expected. I did some extra printing.

Thursday, October 11, 2012 Rainy

Began raining in the middle of this morning's jogging. Right before leaving for home from work, it began thundering. What a day! The weather has been terrible. Right this school of ours is going to reform its system, but it is not necessarily a change for the better.

Wednesday, October 10, 2012 Cloudy

When I drink a lot, my chronic disease worsens. Therefore, I need to refrain from drinking a lot of alcohol. But sometimes I feel like drinking. Well, that is human. I will pay the price anyway. Beer seems to be OK, though. Beer, you are my friend.

Tuesday, October 9, 2012 Fair

Yesterday I did not feel like doing anything. Only did some searching on the Internet in preparation of our son's wedding. Today discussed what to do with all this wedding preps with my wife. Hope no more sudden or erratic thing will arise. Did a little cleaning and drank a lot of wine and Korean soju. Not good for my stomach, though. Maybe the stress due to the wedding stuff.

Sunday, October 7, 2012 Fair

A sudden change in the way our first-born son's wedding is going be held. Again I was asked to make a speech. I thought with things chaging these days I would not have to make any speech, but it was not the case. I was wrong. He has not kept me informed enough about anything. Too bad. It is usual with him, I am afraid. Too bad!

Saturday, October 6, 2012 Cloudy

Slept a lot. The temperature fell a lot. Listened to the iPod a lot. Presently reading a book.

Friday, October 5, 2012 Fair

Although I had only one class to teach, I had quite a few reports to check. Had a Korean study session. Took an hour off and got back home. The train connections were good.

Thursday, October 4, 2012 Cloudy

Taking two hours off, came back home. Even if I had stayed at work, I would have had little to do sitting as if I were a soulless creature. Is this the kind of world that they wish for? Anyway too much control destroys people's hearts. Yesterday I swiped my ID card and ran to the station, I had less than nine minutes to catch the train. I barely made it but I thought I would die, so much out of breath and sweat dripping from my face. The way things are at work, we just get too tired and cannot afford to do anything human. We are acting less human these days...

Tuesday, October 2, 2012 Fair

Went to the dentist. Part of one of my teeth came off the other day. That was why. The dentist's advice is always harsh. The way I brush my teeth is wrong, he says. I need to brush each teeth carefullly, in a short quick motion.

Monday, October 1, 2012 Fair

There was a call from a homeroom class student's mother. I had to place a call somewhere else. Toward the evening again I needed to call another homeroom student. This one is in trouble, which caused me more trouble. He himself asked for it, but I have to do something for him. What a situation! Coming back home, worked on the Super Crossword far into the night.
